I’m perfectly capable of enjoying a cheesy Lindsay Lohan Netflix rom-com. Last year, I liked “Irish Wish,” and got tweaked for it. (I stand by the affection.) Every rom-com needs that love-story MacGuffin known as the Thing That Keeps Our Two Romantic Co-Stars Apart. But part of the weird ineptitude of “Our Little Secret” is that it doesn’t have that thing. An animated prelude shows us that Avery (Lohan) and Logan (Ian Harding) grew up together, became inseparable friends, fell in love…and it was all good. But then we cut to 2014. Holiday offerings include Meet Me Next Christmas, debuting on November 6th and starring Christina Milian, and Hot Frosty on November 13th with Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan.

Netflix has shared a first look at the romantic comedy Our Little Secret, which will begin streaming on the service on November 27, 2024. In the film, two resentful exes are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings.

Our Little Secret stars Lindsay Lohan as Avery, Ian Harding as Logan, Kristin Chenoweth as Erica, Tim Meadows as Stan, Jon Rudnitsky as Cameron, Henry Czerny as Mitchell, Judy Reyes as Margaret, and Chris Parnell as the veterinarian.

Dan Bucatinsky as Leonard, Katie Baker as Cassie, Jake Brennan as Callum, Ash Santos as Sophie, and Brian Unger as Paul round out the cast. Stephen Herek directed the movie from a script by Hailey DeDominicis.

The film will explore Kelly’s alleged abuse and exploitation of young black women and will be streamed exclusively on Hulu. BuzzFeed News is producing based on its own reporting, led by music critic and radio host Jim DeRogatis and deputy national editor Marisa Carroll. The project was developed by Linzee Troubh and Shani Hilton of BuzzFeed News.

The documentary will also feature key figures from the R. Kelly story. The controversial R&B star has a history of alleged abuse of underage African-American girls that largely has been unreported by mainstream media until recently. Lifetime separately said this month it is working on a documentary series and untitled feature focusing on women who say Kelly has abused them.

R. Kelly’s alleged sexual abuse of women and girls is the focus of a new documentary feature film BuzzFeed News is developing for Hulu.

The film will feature BuzzFeed News reporting by Jim DeRogatis — the veteran music critic and radio host who broke the explosive story on Kelly’s alleged sex cult for the site last year — along with deputy national editor Marisa Carroll, who has overseen BuzzFeed News’ coverage of the ongoing story.

Kelly has been accused of sexually abusive and inappropriate behavior toward numerous women and girls over the past two decades, including allegations from at least five women this month. In 2002 he was indicted on multiple counts of child pornography (before he was later acquitted). The R&B artist has never been convicted of a crime.

The documentary for Hulu also will feature interviews with key figures involved in Kelly’s past, including several survivors and the singer’s associates.
