This Halloween, Mvd is releasing a different kind of horror movie. One that is jam-packed full of laughs more-so than it is scares. The first trailer has arrived for Bubba the Redneck Werewolf before its release on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital / VOD&#160on October 11th. We also get the first poster, which has Dan Wilder of Famous Monsters declaring, "Low-brow, completely ridiculous, and packed to the gills with heart...&#160I loved the damn thing! (5/5)."

Mvd has acquired the exclusive Us distribution rights for Bubba The Redneck Werewolf.&#160Based on the cult classic comic book series, the feature film marks the second directorial effort of Brendan Jackson Rogers, who also serves as one of the film's producers. The deal was negotiated by Eric D. Wilkinson and Rob Hauschild for Mvd and producer Will Phillips of And You Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.

Malone Thomas and Fred Lass in Bubba the Redneck Werewolf (2014)
Recently I told ya creeps my thoughts on the new flea-bitten fright flick Bubba The Redneck Werewolf. In short, I loved the damn thing! And, as fate—along with an arcane ceremony involving spells etched on human flesh, a coupon for 2 for 1 strip steak at Sizzler, and a dog-eared copy of Swank—would have it, the die-rector and producer of ol’ Bubba are here right now with me in the Crypt o’ Xiii! So let’s put our paws together for Brendan Jackson Rogers and Will Phillips!

Famous Monsters. How did ya hear about ol’ Bubba the Redneck Werewolf, and what made ya think that lovable lycanthrope would make a bone-a-fide fright flick star?

Brendan Jackson Rogers. First off, we couldn’t be more excited to be talking to the Coffin Club. Thanks for having us! Our introduction to the redneck werewolf began with meeting Mitch Hyman [who I just so happened to have a jaw shesh with right here! - Xiii] through a mutual friend.

Famous Monsters. Welcome to my humble abode, Mitch! Just push that gut pile aside and have yourself a seat! So, how in the hairy hell did ya come up with the character of Bubba The Redneck Werewolf, and what are some of the arcane adventures he’s been up to in your frightful funny books?

Mitch Hyman. Well, I...
