Versatile Telugu actor Sree Vishnu’s next film, which is being directed by Ram Abbaraju, who proved his mettle with the hilarious family entertainer ‘Vivaha Bhojanambu’, officially went on floors on Sunday with a grand pooja ceremony.

Billed to be a complete fun-filled family entertainer, the story for the untitled movie is by Bhanu Bogavarapu while its dialogues are by Nandu Savirigana.

The launching ceremony was attended by a host of celebrities including Anil Sunkara, V I Anand, Nara Rohit, Vijay Kanakamedala and A R Mohan.

Nara Rohit sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot. Sources say the film’s regular shoot will commence soon.

Gopi Sundar is to score the music of this film, which will have cinematography by Raam Reddy. Chota K Prasad is the editor and Brahma Kadali is the art director.

Of this, the last two are hit movies and the director is now looking forward to score a hat-trick. According to sources, Vi Anand, during the making of Okka Kshanam had the opportunity to narrate the one-liner of a story to Allu Arjun and the star had given his go ahead to Vi Anand to come up with the full script so that he could decide on it. The director is working on it and is confident that the final script would impress the star. Incidentally, Okka Kshanam, which hit the silver screens late last year, got good reviews and was a box office success. The film starred Allu Sirish in the lead role with Surbhi and Seerat Kapoor playing the female leads. What could a minute do in a person’s life? In case of medical emergencies, every second counts. On the face of it, Okka Kshanam seems like a romance film that absorbs the qualities of a science fiction thriller. But, it’s actually the other way around. Director Vi Anand, who turned a supernatural tale on its head with a romantic twist (Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada), is back with a film that takes a leaf out of parallel happenings. A couple of years ago, Selvaraghavan made a Tamil film named Irandaam Ulagam. It was a movie based on the concept of parallel universes. Everything about the film felt wrong. He took a wonderful subject and destroyed it. So, in every sense, Irandaam Ulagam was trashy. Now, Anand walks a similar path with his latest thriller. However, we aren’t transported to another universe here. We are, instead, taken to two women whose lives look like the copies of the same book (you can say different editions though). The initial portions where Jyotsna (Surbhi) peeps into the rooms of Swathi’s (Seerat Kapoor) apartment are directly borrowed from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 thriller Rear Window. Even in the Hollywood movie, the protagonist (played by James Stewart) is hurt and can’t walk around much. As a result, to cure boredom, he watches his neighbours through his window. Jyotsna does the same thing in the Telugu movie. She’s seen with a cast on her ankle in one of her first scenes. And, then, a couple of minutes later, when Jeeva (Allu Sirish) questions her about her routine, she introduces him to the world of people-watching via her balcony. Srinivas Avasarala, who usually stars as the comedy-guy, takes a U-turn to play a supporting role which has shades of various colours, in Okka Kshanam. His brooding looks are as good as his funny lines. The exchanges between Srinivas and Sirish are what make the film work to a large extent since this sets the tone for the second-hour-and-twenty-minutes. The character that actually sells the film to us is played by Jayaprakash. He appears as a professor who explains the theory behind parallel lives and gives us examples of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. By the time the movie reaches this point, we’ve already seen many interesting moments related to the two main screen couples – Sirish and Surbhi; Srinivas and Seerat. We’re waiting to see what’s going to happen next. Just like Sirish and Surbhi in the movie, we’re shifting in our seats. That’s when the film takes an insipid shape and shifts to action mode. Should the hero bash the goons and save the day? Is that what a “commercial movie” is all about? The action sequences of the last half-hour are not at all required. Still, Sirish’s improved dialogue-delivery and body language make this his best Telugu film to date. Surbhi and Seerat, too, put in convincing performances. Nevertheless, the best asset of Okka Kshanam is wrapped in its writing which leaves us a drab ending despite the great moments in the film.

Meanwhile, Hello, directed by Vikram Kumar, stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role with Kalyani Priyadarshan making her acting debut. Director Vi Anand of the Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada fame and Allu Sirish, who was seen in the lead role in Srirasthu Subhamasthu, have teamed up for a movie.

What makes the project interesting is that it is supposed to be s sci-fi thriller titled as Okka Kshanam.

Young actor Allu Sirish is thriving to prove his mettle at the box-office actor. The actor made his Malayalam debut recently with 1971 : Beyond Borders  is all set for the release of his next a thriller titled Okka Kshanam under the direction of VI Anand, who shot to fame with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada starring Nikhil.

The latest flash revealed that the movie is going to hit the theatres for Christmas. The actor took to Twitter to share the title design along with the release date.

Quite some time ago, there were reports that director Vikram Kumar would go on to direct Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun but now it looks like these projects may not materialise.

After the success of Duvvada Jaganadham, Allu Arjun has moved over to Naa Peru Surya, which is being directed by debutant Vakkantham Vamsi, a popular writer in the Telugu film industry. There are also reports that Allu Arjun will be working with directors Vi Anand and Muruthi next.

The Sun Network has reportedly bagged the satellite rights of the Allu Sirish starrer that has not been given a title yet.

Reports suggest that the private satellite channel had paid a whopping Rs. 4.05 crore for the project. Directed by Vi Anand of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, the film has Surbhi and Sheerat Kapoor sharing the screen space with Allu Sirish in the movie.

It is bankrolled by ace producer Allu Aravind. The music for the venture has been composed by Mani Sharma.
