Fourward Ups Christopher Burbidge To Head Of Talent Biz, Boosts Music Management
Fourward, the management, production, and investment company launched last year by Will Ward and 13 others who exited Roar, has promoted Christopher Burbidge to head its expanding Talent division. The company also promoted Brooke Blann to manager in the company’s Music division. Both are based in Fourward’s Los Angeles office and will continue to report to Ward.

Burbidge, who was at William Morris and Wme before joining Ward’s previous company, works closely on day-to-day management of some of Fourward’s key clients. That list includes Chris Hemsworth, Cobie Smulders, Liam Hemsworth, Jacob Elordi, Alice Braga, Aisha Tyler, Luke Hemsworth and Luke Bracey.

Blann, aboard since Fourward’s launch, counts Elliphant, Abby Anderson and Emma Zander among her clients. She will work with the division in Los Angeles and Nashville offices.

“I am excited for Chris to run the day-to-day operations of the Talent Division at Fourward,” Ward said...

Tove Lo Sings Her Own Song at Karaoke in ‘Glad He’s Gone’ Lyric Video
Tove Lo
Tove Lo has shared a new song “Glad He’s Gone,” with an accompanying video. The song is the lead single from the Swedish pop star’s forthcoming album, Sunshine Kitty, scheduled for release later this year.

“Glad He’s Gone” is a kiss-off track with a twist: it’s directed towards the ex of one of Tove Lo’s friends. Like the message in her Blue Lips short film, “Glad He’s Gone” is just as much about the power of friendship as it is about telling a mediocre man to hit the road.

Watch Tove Lo’s Tale of Female Friendship in ‘Blue Lips’ Short Film
Tove Lo
Swedish singer Tove Lo has entered her Blue Lips era with a short film based on the songs from the album. The film follows the release of her Major Lazer collaboration “Blow That Smoke.” She co-wrote the film with director Malia James.

Tove Lo stars as Ebba, who goes on an adventurous few nights with her best friend Kit (Ana Coto). Early in the 30-minute film, Kit suffers a heartbreak after the guy she liked got back with his ex-girlfriend. As they go through scenes of getting ready, going out...

Charli Xcx Drops Two New Songs: ‘Focus’ and ‘No Angel’ (Listen)
Charli XCX
It’s been three and a half years since Charli Xcx dropped her sophomore album, “Sucker,” and while she hasn’t released an official third full-length, she’s dropped a boxed set’s worth of songs via two mixtapes (“Pop 2” and “Number 1 Angel”), an Ep (“Vroom Vroom”), several singles (including the hit “Boys”), and so many guest appearances — Rita Ora’s “Girls” with Cardi B and Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo’s “Bitches” with Alma, Icona Pop and Elliphant, as well as Lil Xan’s “Moonlight” — that it would take all day to recap them all. And while a third album remains unscheduled, she’ll be releasing songs throughout the summer and two of them arrived this morning: “Focus” and “No Angel.” The new tracks come on the heels of “5 in the Morning,” which dropped in May.

The “Boom Clap” singer collaborated with longtime music partner A.G. Cook, as well as...

Will Ward & 13 Cohorts Exit Roar To Form Mgmt/Production Venture Fourward
Exclusive: Will Ward and 13 others have exited the management company Roar to launch Fourward. The new venture is a diversified management, production, and investment company that starts with a lot of the clients and staff who were part of Roar. The intention is to build a beach head in TV/film management, music management, production, and corporate.

Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth, Cobie Smulders, Aisha Tyler, Sharlto Copley, Luke Bracey, Luke Hemsworth, Alice Braga and Austin Stowell are among the clients who’ve moved to the new company. Music clients include Sony/Ten Music singer Elliphant, and teen singer/songwriter Hannah Hoberman (whose song Darker was part of the Wonder soundtrack).

The launch comes as two other founding partners left Roar to form Activist Artists with their clients earlier this week. Ward and his colleagues were already in the process of making their own move when that happened. Where has the...
