According to TVLine, Syfy has opted not to renew Reginald the Vampire, meaning that the horror comedy series has been canceled after two seasons. An adaptation of Johnny B. Truants Fat Vampire book series, Reginald the Vampire is set in a world populated by "beautiful, fit and vain vampires." Batalon who is best known for playing Ned Leeds in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man trilogy led the series as Reginald Andres, who navigated every kind of obstacle thrown at him, from not being able to be with the girl he loves to having to deal with a bully manager at work. The Season 2 finale of Reginald, which will now serve as its series finale, aired on July 10.

Horror comedy Reginald the Vampire is not being renewed for a third season at Syfy, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The series was an adaptation of Johnny B. Truant’s Fat Vampire book series. Created and penned by Harley Peyton (Twin Peaks, Chucky) who also served as showrunner, the dramedy imagined a world populated by “beautiful, fit and vain vampires.” Reginald Andres (played by Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Jacob Batalon) tumbled headlong into it as an unlikely hero who navigated every kind of obstacle — the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead.

After it debuted nearly two years ago, Reginald the Vampire quickly became a hit for Syfy. The premise finds Reginald (Jacob Batalon) killed by the enemies of a slick vampire known as Maurice (Mandela Van Peebles). The only way to save Reginald is for Maurice to turn him into a vampire. All too quickly, Reginald must learn how to adapt yet keep his vampire cravings hidden. The second season premiered May 8 and is even more delightful than the first. You know, honestly speaking, I did not know what to expect, Batalon said regarding the script and production, but I just knew it was a very fun and different show that we had not really seen yet.

The Roman Agency will soon be open for more spooky business. Syfy has announced that the SurrealEstate series will return for its long-awaited second season in October. The last new episode aired in September 2021.

A Canadian paranormal drama series, the SurrealEstate TV show stars Tim Rozon, Sarah Levy, Adam Korson, Maurice Dean Wint, Savannah Basley, and Tennille Read. The story follows an elite team of specialists at The Roman Agency who handle the cases no one else can -- haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating, and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure (and closings) even as they struggle with demons of their own. Chucky the killer doll returns for season three and Wynonna Earp star Tim Rozon is back helping with haunted real estate on season two of SurrealEstate on October 4, 2023. USA/Syfy will kick off new seasons of both shows on Wednesday, October 4th, with Chucky airing at 9pm Et/Pt on USA/Syfy followed by SurrealEstate at 10pm Syfy.

The premiere date announcement was accompanied by the first SurrealEstate season two trailer and a special Chucky press conference video.

The popular series based on the Child’s Play film franchise stars Zackary Arthur (Transparent) as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson (PEN15) as Devon Evans, and Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak) as Lexy. Brad Dourif provides the voice of Chucky, and Jennifer Tilly is Tiffany Valentine.

If you thought Chucky and Surreal Estate return dates were further than ever due to the ongoing strikes, we have some news you might like.

Both shows will return to Syfy, USA Network, and Peacock on October 4, 2023.

Chucky Season 2 wrapped with plenty of plot threads ironed out, giving the sense that the third season would be completely different.

Given that Jennifer Tilly's Tiffany fate was left in the air on Chucky Season 2 Episode 8, the killer doll held a press conference confirming her return.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Devon Sawa will return as a new character.

When Chucky is asked whether the actor will be back, the doll says the following:

"Devon Sawa, who?"

Chucky reveals he's too big for just one channel, so he's airing on three this time.

Unfortunately, a reporter quizzes him about critics who say there are too many doll movies.

Garfield Wilson was tapped to play the role of Balestro in the second season of Reginald the Vampire. Balestro, Wilson’s persona character, is an Angel tasked to relay the chilling prophecy of the impending extinction of all the vampires on earth. Syfy‘s comedy-horror series “Reginald the Vampire” premiered last Halloween season, and today we’ve learned that the Jacob Batalon-starring series is getting a second season.

USA Network/Syfy have good news for fans of killer dolls and vampires. Syfy’s Chucky will return for a third season and Reginald the Vampire has officially been renewed for season two.

The second season of Chucky was one of the top 10 drama cable series in 2022 among adults. And the network’s Reginald the Vampire starring Jacob Batalon was second among all cable dramas on Wednesdays at 10pm during its first season run.

Syfy has picked up new seasons of two of its horror-inflected series.

The NBCUniveral cable network has renewed Chucky, the continuation of the long-running movie franchise, for a third season, and vampire comedy Reginald the Vampire for a second. (Chucky also airs on sister channel USA Network.)

Created by Don Mancini — the mastermind of the Child’s Play movie franchise — Chucky, from Universal Studio Group’s UCP, follows the murderous, serial killer-possessed doll as he wreaks havoc on a new set of characters. The show’s second season was among the top 10 dramas in cable among adults 18-49.

Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind and Brad Dourif (reprising his franchise role as the voice of Chucky) star in the series. A number of familiar faces from the movie series, including Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent and Christine Elise, have made guest appearances.

Vampires seem to be making a comeback on the small screen, and Syfy brings a comedic entry into the resurgence.

Reginald the Vampire Season 1 Episode 1 managed to provide some light-hearted vampire fun while staying true to vampires.

While its seriousness is still evident, we can appreciate its fun in a time when serious (Let The Right One In) or sexual (Interview With a Vampire) vampires seem to reign.

The premiere set up the entire season well but didn't do much else to draw us in.

Jacob Batalon portrays Reginald wonderfully, and we hope the show improves as the season leaves setup mode.

In a world full of remakes and reboots, the freshness of Reginald the Vampire provides a brilliant sign of relief.

Based on Johnny B. Truant's novel, Fat Vampire, the series follows Reginald as he becomes a vampire and deals with the internal politics that reflect his real-world issues.
