Paul Kelly looks straight out of the 90s on the set of American Love Story.

The 28-year-old actor was spotted filming the upcoming Ryan Murphy series in Manhattan on Monday (July 28).

On the set, Paul is seen signing a copy of People Magazine featuring John F. Kennedy Jr. as their “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1999.

Along with signing the iconic magazine, Paul is seen on the set walking a dog, presumed to be the dog that belonged to Daryl Hannah until it was accidentally killed in JFK Jr.‘s care.

American Love Story will follow JFK Jr.‘s relationship with Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, played by Sarah Pidgeon. Their relationship was the subject of much media scrutiny throughout the 90s until their tragic passing in a plane crash in 1999.

Jack Schlossberg is continuing his feud with Ryan Murphy over his new series Love Story, which in its first season is set to depict the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.

The late JFK Jr. is Schlossberg’s uncle and has called out Murphy for “profiting off” his uncle’s life “in a grotesque way.” Murphy recently addressed those comments as a guest on Gavin Newsom’s podcast, where he said Schlossberg made an “odd choice to be mad about your relative that you really don’t remember.”

After seeing Murphy’s comments, Schlossberg took to Instagram to quote him and ask the television producer to “Say It To My Face.”

“My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and ‘the nudist,’ picking me up from school, his Pontiac convertible,” Schlossberg posted. “I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died.

A social media user’s post on Saturday asked fellow fans whether they thought Hewitt and Prinze — who reprise their roles from the original movie and its sequel — “filmed their scenes together” in the 2025 installment. “People are starting to notice the ‘cuts and separate shots,'” the post continued.

Robinson was quick to clear up any confusion surrounding the pair’s scenes.

The I Know What You Did Last Summerfranchise is back with a new entry. The film is a direct sequel to 1998's I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and it brings back two original stars, Jennifer Love Hewitt, who played Julie James, and Freddie Prinze Jr., who played Ray Bronson.

Once the film hit theaters, fans were treated to a surprise cameo from one of the original stars - Sarah Michelle Gellar. The original film, made in 1997, was loosely based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel of the same name, and was a slasher movie in the guise of a morality play – a group of numbskull teens run over a pedestrian and, a year later, are viciously bumped off one-by-one. The cosmic joke of the movie was that, yes, we were rooting for them to survive even if we knew, deep down, that they probably deserved it.

Now, the title and general conceit are back with “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” a legacy sequel that takes the survivors from the first one (Hewitt and Prinze Jr.) and places them into a narrative involving a new group of youngsters who are stalked one year after a similar crime.

Chicago – The original 1997 “I Know What You Did Last Summer” was – in the vernacular of “Seinfeld” – a “time slot hit.” Coming from writer Kevin Williamson of the original “Scream” movie, it cashed on the late 1990’s slasher revival by playing off an association with a proven hit without offering anything particularly distinctive or memorable. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, director of the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, is revealing the reason Lola Tung and Nicholas Alexander Chavez were cut from the film.

Back in November 2024, Deadline exclusively reported that the Summer I Turned Pretty star and the Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story actor had joined the cast of the slasher sequel.

However, when viewers see the film on the big screen, neither Tung nor Chavez will appear in the movie, despite having filmed scenes.

“In every movie, it’s best laid plans, and then you edit the movie and you put it together and you go, ‘I love this in a vacuum. This is a fantastic scene. But it doesn’t fit in the movie,'” Robinson said in an interview with People. “It was just one of those situations where it had nothing to do with Lola and Nicholas — they are both so fantastic.

While Superman will quite easily remain at #1 heading into its second weekend in theaters, the Dcu movie is set to face competition from new releases, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Smurfs.

All three movies will attract vastly different audiences, and Jurassic World Rebirth should continue to pose a problem for all of the above. Still, helping Superman is the largely negative critical reception to I Know What You Did Last Summer and Smurfs.

Despite glowing social media reactions, the horror reboot has arrived on Rotten Tomatoes with a "Rotten" 46% score. The reviews are all over the place; Deadline, for example, writes, "A vapid, utterly hollow husk of revival.
