As per the official press release, the series will be available to watch in black and white and in color. It will debut domestically on MGM+, then launch globally on Prime Video the following day in over 240 countries and territories.

I’m really looking forward to Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir, and one actor on the series has teased that it could double down on the film noir aspect. While speaking with ComingSoon.net, Lukas Haas said Spider-Noir could be released in black-and-white. I’d be into that.

“We filmed it in — I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic,” Haas said. “To the point that I would actually go and look at the monitor and think I was looking at some older footage, but it was actually just a monitor of what was on the camera at the time. They did a beautiful job with the filters and all that stuff, making it look like genuine old 1930s, black and white film.

As for Robinson, he seems to have taken a step back from acting in the mid-2000s, although he voiced an alternate version of his Deep Space Nine character Elim Garak in an episode of the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks last year.

Cage returns as Spider-Man Noir, bringing his popular role from the animated Spider-Verse movies to life in live-action. Fans are looking forward to seeing his take on the gritty, 1930s-inspired hero.

The series will have eight episodes and is set to stream on MGM+ in late 2025 or early 2026. Filming will finish by early 2025. The actor first played this version of Spidey in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and became an instant fan-favourite. The fact he's getting to reprise the role in live-action isn't something we ever expected, though this Spider-Man is Ben, not Peter Parker (we don't think that makes him a clone; it's more than likely a result of Sony not wanting to confuse audiences).

It's been a while since we got any updates about Spider-Noir but MGM and Amazon Prime appear to be moving full steam ahead with the streaming series.

Nearly two years after Season 1 of Prime Video’s series The Rig premiered, one of the show’s stars is hyping up the start of the second season. Emily Hampshire, who plays Rose on The Rig, took to Instagram to promote Season 2, which is set to premiere on January 2, 2025.

On Dec. 4, Amazon release an official trailer for The Rig Season 2. Via her Instagram page, Hampshire shared the video clip teasing Season 2 of The Rig with the caption: “I can’t wait for everyone to see #TheRig season 2! Think John Carpenter’s #thething + James Cameron’s #theabyss to the power of climate change. I’m so proud to be part of this super special show.”

Spider-Noir is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer is set to direct, and executive produce the first two episodes. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Sony and Amazon/MGM's Spider-Noir series appears to be taking some major liberties with the source material, but given how obscure this Variant of the web-slinger is, does it really matter if "Ben Reilly" is beneath the mask instead of Peter Parker?

That's debatable; regardless, Sony appears to be ignoring the fact Ben is Peter's clone and we don't anticipate that being addressed in any way when Spider-Noir swings on to streaming next year.

Nicolas Cage was spotted on the set of Spider-Noir earlier this month but wasn’t in his Spidey costume at the time. Thankfully, our first look at the live-action Spider-Man Noir costume has arrived, thanks to a handful of set photos. There’s also a video that showcases a stunt sequence in which Spider-Noir is perched atop a vehicle while shooting webs. You’ll have to view that through the link. Given the nature of the scene, it’s not Cage in the costume but rather a stunt double.

Given that it's being developed by Sony, there's been some concern among fans that Amazon's Spider-Noir series starring Nicolas Cage might not see the title character actually suit up. 

Peter Parker has already been replaced by Ben Reilly as Spider-Man Noir, but newly revealed photos and footage from the show's set confirm we're getting a comic-accurate take on the wall-crawling private detective. 

The hero looks like he's stepped straight off the page with a design that's also pretty much identical to what we saw in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Based on how this scene is playing out, Ben will see a fair bit of action as he rides atop a car while shooting webs into the distance. He also has his trademark hat and goggles, though we should point out that it's a stuntman in the suit, not Cage.

A new look at the live-action Spider-Man Noir has been revealed. It comes from images taken from the set of Spider-Noir, a new series in the works with Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir after previously voicing an animated version in the Spider-Verse movies.

Per TMZ, new images have been taken of a stunt double wearing the Spider-Man Noir suit on the set of Spider-Noir. Though Cage is not wearing the suit in the pictures, they reveal a good look at how his costume will appear. Suggesting that the adaptation will be a faithful one, the live-action version of the character is looking a lot like he did in the original comic books. Prime Video's live-action Spider-Noir series officially began filming this week, and we got our first glimpse of star Nicolas Cage shooting a scene last night.

Now, Just Jared has shared some more set photos, giving us a much better look at Cage in his '30s attire while also confirming the show's main(?) villain.

As you'll see below, Cage is carrying a Daily Bugle newspaper prop in several photos, and the headline reads: "Silvermane Survives in Skivvies." Previous rumors have claimed that Silvio Manfredi, aka Silvermane, will be the primary antagonist. While that remains to be seen, he is clearly going to be a part of the show.

Hopefully, we'll get to see Cage suited-up as Spider-Man Noir soon (though the full costume really only adds a mask to the get-up he's wearing here). For now, have a look at the new set photos at the link below and let us know what you think.
