Brent Spiner quotes Sean Connery in regard to portraying Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard. Spiner began portraying Lt. Commander Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the lovable android became one of the show's most popular characters. Despite his heroic death in Star Trek: Nemesis, Data made a triumphant return in Star Trek: Picard season 3, reuniting with his former USS Enterprise-d crew members.
Complete with an upgraded android body with the ability to experience emotions, Data finally achieved his lifelong dream of becoming (almost) human. Still, it remains to be seen what his Star Trek future holds. In a recent appearance on The Sackhoff Show, Brent Spiner spoke to host Katee Sackhoff about portraying Data and why he decided to reprise the role in Picard season 3. Read Spiner's quotes and watch the video below:
Katee Sackhoff: You’ve played that character [Data] in like 10 different projects.

Chicago Med is closing in on its season 10 finale, but first, we have to get through the fallout of the penultimate season 10 episode, "Baby Mine..." There was plenty going on at Gaffney, but the most pressing storyline revolved around Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) and the unsettling allegations made against her coworker and romantic interest, Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines).
Spoilers ahead!
Before we dug into that drama, we got some lighter fare with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell). He had been tasked with watching his godson, but the child could not go more than a few seconds without crying if he wasn't being held. Naturally, this proved an issue for Ripley, who was dealing with patients at the same time. This was a charming bit on the surface, but actually proved to be foreshadowing for a truly massive revelation at the end of the episode.
Caitlin Lenox enters the picture in unexpected fashion.

One Chicago has done an excellent job of cultivating different flavors for its three shows. Chicago Fire is the ambitious, multi-faceted thriller that offers death-defying feats, Chicago Med is the talky one-location drama, and Chicago Pd offers intrigue and grim investigations. Every once in a while, though the thematic interests of these shows align, and that is where we will find ourselves on May 14.
The promos for all three shows have been released, and we couldn't help but notice that each of them feature nearly identical stories involving corruption and a quest to expunge the person who's abusing their power. Chicago Med is playing this out with Hayes (Brendan Hines) after its alleged the doctor sexually harassed Cardiothoracic Resident Naomi Howard (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut).
Dr. Hayes has clearly determined that he's above punishment, which is what makes the upcoming case in "Baby Mine..." such a big deal. Dr. Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson...

Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) have repeatedly proven herself to be a capable force on Chicago Med. The character has been around for less than a season, and has already vaunted herself to the front of the line when it comes to diagnosing tricky ailments. It's Lenox's personal life that's taken a nosedive, however, and will continue to do so in the upcoming episode "Baby Mine..."
The promo for "Baby Mine..." confirms that Lenox will be forced to confront her relationship with Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines), a man who reportedly sexually harassed a co-worker. Lenox rarely tolerates nonsense or unethical behavior, but Hayes has repeatedly been someone who has served as a sort of kryptonite for her. Lenox not only put up with Dr. Hayes' flirtatious behavior in the workplace, she entertained it. She even planned to go to Myrtle Beach with him before the allegations came to light.

Jeri Ryan addresses what Captain Seven of Nine's unheard warp command is at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 3 and the "evil genius" plan she heard about Seven's mystery tagline. Seven of Nine was promoted to Captain of the USS Enterprise-g at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 3. However, when the moment came for Captain Seven to order the newest Enterprise to jump to warp speed, Picard season 3 cut away, leaving behind a mystery that has kept fans wondering for over two years.
ScreenRant's Grant Hermanns caught up with Jeri Ryan about her role in Leverage: Redemption season 3, and asked the Star Trek: Voyager fan-favorite about Captain Seven's warp command in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Ryan says there was a greater idea about Seven's warp order that would have kept the mystery going. Check out her quote below:

With only five more episodes left in the season, Chicago Med pulls out all the stops with a guest star-filled cast for Season 10, Episode 18.
The NBC medical drama has been no stranger to star-studded ensembles over the years, and Season 10 is no exception.
Season 10, Episode 18 (subtitled "Together One Last Time") centers on another day in the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center Emergency Department, as Jessy Schram's Dr. Hannah Asher makes a tough call to save a life, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut's Naomi has her last day in the ER, and a young boy comes in with a snake bite.

After what has felt like an eternity, NBC has finally pulled off a new One Chicago crossover event bringing together the stars of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago Pd… or at least most of the characters.
Heading into the three-part crossover event, fans were eager to find out which characters would be participating in the One Chicago crossover. It quickly became clear that the plan was for most of the casts of the shows to appear; however, in speaking with the creative teams behind the shows, One Chicago Center was able to confirm a few key characters would be absent from the crossover event including both series regular and recurring characters who have been active parts of the show’s current seasons.
One of the most notable absences from the crossover is Joe Minoso’s Joe Cruz, who played a key role in past crossovers as a long-time member of Chicago Fire.

The USS Enterprise-d of Star Trek: The Next Generation was missing one element that every other Starship Enterprise has had. Following the adventures of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his Enterprise crew, Tng ushered in a new golden era of Star Trek that lasted throughout the 1990s. With crew members like Lt. Worf (Michael Dorn) and Lt. Commander Data (Brent Spiner), the crew of Captain Picard's Enterprise became almost as popular as that of Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner).
In both Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation, each main character had a specific role to play on their Starship Enterprise. Both ships, for example, had Chief Medical Officers and Chief Engineers who were part of the main cast. But while the Enterprise of Tos had a dedicated helmsman in Lt. Writer and showrunner Terry Matalas sneakily included a backdoor pilot into the final season of "Star Trek: Picard." At the end of the series, after a grand threat from the Borg has been quelled, the action fast-forwards a year for a teary epilogue. It seems that the previously roguish Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers) had been rushed through Starfleet Academy and was now ready for his first starship assignment. His father (Patrick Stewart) and mother (Gates McFadden) accompanied him to his first ship, the U.S.S. Titan-a, the ship on which the bulk of "Picard" season 3 took place. But, in a fit of nostalgia, the Titan-a had been rechristened the Enterprise-g.
The Enterprise-g was commanded by Captain Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), who had recently been recommended for captaincy by her deceased commanding officer. Seven's first officer was her ex-girlfriend Raffi (Michelle Hurd), and her crew included numerous "Picard" supporting players,...

Many Star Trek characters have complicated relationships with their siblings. Although Star Trek: The Original Series did not dive too deeply into the family dynamics of its characters, subsequent Star Trek series have explored more complex relationships. While a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation introduced the siblings of their main characters, they generally only popped up for an episode or two. However, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's stationary setting allowed for more serialized storylines, giving the show more time to spend developing its characters and their families.
In the era of streaming television, modern Star Trek shows are more heavily serialized and focus more on character development than previous Trek shows did. Shows like Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds have introduced some great sibling duos with nuanced and complex relationships. Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) performed a medical miracle in Star Trek: Picard season 3, but she hasn't gotten the recognition she deserves for it. Picard season 3 saw Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reunite with his Star Trek: The Next Generation crew aboard the newly rebuilt USS Enterprise-d. In the first episode of Picard season 3, Jean-Luc receives a distress call from Beverly Crusher and immediately recruits Captain Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) for an impromptu rescue mission. Picard and Riker then commandeer the USS Titan-a and embark on an adventure that quickly turns dangerous.
When they arrive to rescue Dr. Crusher, Picard and Riker learn that she has an adult son named Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers) and that the two have been traveling around offering medical assistance to those in need. Before long, Picard and his old crew find themselves facing off against a Borg/Changeling alliance that threatens the entire Federation.

A forgotten Star Trek: Voyager character would make a perfect addition to the cast of Star Trek: Legacy, the proposed Star Trek: Picard spin-off about Captain Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan). Star Trek: Picard season 3 introduced some adult children of Star Trek: The Next Generation characters: namely, Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers), the son of Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) and Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and Commodore Geordi La Forge's (LeVar Burton) daughters, Ensign Sidney La Forge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut) on the USS Titan-a, and Ensign Alandra La Forge (Mica Burton) with Geordi at the Starfleet Museum.
Star Trek: Voyager's later seasons featured a romance between Lieutenant Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill) and Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson). Despite Star Trek: Voyager's reset button often returning character relationships to the status quo with each new episode, Tom and B'Elanna's Star Trek romance lasted, and changed both characters for the better.

Michael Dorn says Star Trek: The Next Generation's cast was financially well-compensated to reunite in Star Trek: Picard season 3, which hints at why Picard season 1's actors didn't return for the final season. Dorn reprised his iconic Klingon warrior, Captain Worf, for the first time in 21 years in Star Trek: Picard season 3. Chicago Med, like all NBC shows, had a shortened season 9 due to the Hollywood strikes. It did wrap up in May and season 10 should restore it to its usual 22 episode length. The finale had some big turns so here’s what to remember before season 10 hits and what to expect in the new year!
What happened in the Chicago Med season 9 finale?

Goodwin finally accepted her father Burt was too mentally infirm to remain at home and put him into an assisted living facility. Trekkies will be able to tell you that Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), the nerdy engineer on the Enterprise-d in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," rarely had luck in his relationships. In the episode "Booby Trap", Geordi notoriously fell in love with a holographic reproduction of Dr. Leah Brahms (Susan Gibney), the designer of the Enterprise's engines. In the episode "Galaxy's Child", however, Geordi got to meet the real Leah Brahms, and she was not happy when she learned about the holographic duplicate Geordi had been flirting with. What's more, she was already married, certainly halting any romantic aspirations Geordi carried.
It seems, however, that their lives would eventually intersect romantically. In the show's final episode, "All Good Things...", audiences saw a flash-forward to an alternate future wherein Geordi was married to Leah. They also had three children named Alandra, Bret, and Sidney. Geordi had retired from engineering and became a novelist.

Guinan's mysterious past includes having "a lot" of children, with one son who took "several hundred years" to come around. Guinan's species, the El-Aurians, were not named onscreen until Star Trek Generations, adding to her enigmatic nature. In Star Trek: Picard season 2, Guinan makes a return, showcasing her unique ability to summon a Q and adding more layers to her character.
The mysterious Ten Forward bartender Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) revealed that she had "a lot" of children in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Guinan joined the cast of Tng in season 2 after lifelong Star Trek fan Whoopi Goldberg asked for a role on the show. Goldberg was particularly inspired by Nichelle Nichols' Lt. Captain Shaw respects Geordi La Forge, but has no patience for Picard and Riker on the Titan. Shaw's prickly attitude towards Picard and Riker stems from past trauma with the Borg and losing crew members. Despite his "Spock dead" status, there are hopes for Liam Shaw to return in a Star Trek: Legacy spinoff.
Captain Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) had little patience for Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Captain William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) in Star Trek: Picard season 3, but he geeked out over meeting Commodore Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton). When Admiral Picard receives a distress call from Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), he recruits his former First Officer Riker to mount a rescue mission. Realizing they need a ship, the two then hijack Riker's former command, the USS Titan-a, much to the annoyance of its current Captain, Liam Shaw.

Data's ultimate dream of becoming more human is beautifully fulfilled in Star Trek: Picard season 3. The merging of Data and Lore's personalities creates an exciting and distinct character for Brent Spiner to play. The new version of Data incorporates elements from other characters, bringing him closer to being human than ever before.
Brent Spiner's Data finally achieved the ultimate upgrade in Star Trek: Picard season 3, as the personalities of Data and his evil brother Lore merged into one. For seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Lt. Commander Data sought to learn about humanity from the people around him on the USS Enterprise-d. Data's journey to become human became one of the best story arcs on Tng, and Data became one of the show's most beloved characters. While Data's journey may have taken a couple of steps backward in the Tng movies, Picard season 3 beautifully fulfilled the android's ultimate dream.

Star Trek: Legacy, a potential spinoff from Star Trek: Picard, would provide a payoff to the ending scene of season 3 featuring Captain Seven of Nine and continue her story as a survivor and symbol of redemption. At the conclusion of the third season of "Star Trek: Picard," after the villains had been defeated, showrunner Terry Matalas had properly and carefully set up another "Star Trek" spinoff series, should Paramount+ have wanted it. Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) had received a posthumous recommendation for a captaincy from her late commanding officer Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) and was put in command of the U.S.S. Titan-a, now newly rechristened the U.S.S. Enterprise-g. Star Trek: Picard season 3 succeeded in seamlessly blending two generations of Star Trek characters, highlighting the importance of collaboration between young and old. Star Trek: Picard essentially served as a legacy sequel series for Star Trek: The Next Generation, but there's still room for another follow-up series according to franchise star Jonathan Frakes.
Among Trekkies, Frakes is very well known for his fan favorite role as William T. Riker, dating back to the first season of The Next Generation. He joined Patrick Stewart and other fellow castmates from that series for Picard, which has since concluded after three seasons. The Star Trek franchise is moving forward with different movies and TV shows following different characters, and as of now, there hasn't been any word of another sequel series picking up after the events of Picard.
