Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Vivian Rubio is a SAG-Equity actor, acting professor, and fitness instructor. Currently part of the Acting Faculty of the New York Film Academy. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts and has a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the Theater, Film & Television Department at UCLA. She is certified by the National Academy of Sports and Medicine, is Yoga Alliance Certified and has Egoscue Postural Alignment experience.
She's been an actor for over 15 years. In 2009 became part of ENSI a Hispanic improv group. She was a cast member of the touring company Hispanic Flamenco Ballet's Theater playing Aldonza in A Man of la Mancha and Queen Anne in The Three Musketeers. These productions toured around the East Coast, performing in over 20 cities (Nashville, Atlanta, Knoxville, Saint Louis, Indianapolis, Toledo, Louisville, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Savannah, Jacksonville, West Palm, Raleigh, Washington DC, West Orange, Manchester, Allentown, Pittsburg, Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Memphis and Little Rock) Around the same year she played guest roles in Telemundo and was cast in a few commercials, music videos and short films.
During the 4-year-conservatory training, she was able to train in different acting styles. There were many acting and speech coaches that she worked with including Tarell Alvin McCraney ( 2016 Academy Award winner), Stuart Meltzer (Artistic Director of Zoetic Stage), Michael McKeever (Published Playwright), Patrice Bailey (winner of The George Abbott Award for Outstanding Achievement), Gail Garrisan (Artistic Director of City Theatre) and many others.
While getting her terminal degree at UCLA she was given the opportunity to be a student and a professor at the same time. She was able to meet/work with Francis Ford Coppola, Quentin Tarantino, Willem Dafoe, James Franco, Meg Ryan, and many others. She graduated from UCLA in 2017 and since then has been a SAG & Equity actor.
