Pile have announced a new album, Sunshine and Balance Beams, arriving August 15th via new label home Sooper Records. The Boston act also detailed a 2025 North American tour and shared the LP’s lead single “Born at Night.”

The band will be supporting the LP with an extensive late-summer/fall tour with new label mate and Sooper Records co-founder NNAMDÏ. The trek runs from August 21st in Portland, Maine, through a hometown finale gig on October 11th in Boston, and includes stops in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, and New York City, among other markets.

Tickets go on sale Friday (May 16th) at 10 a.m. local time, with select dates available via Ticketmaster, and other shows available via local venue links on the band’s website.

A new Virtua Fighter title has been teased at CES 2025. While the trailer didn’t have true in-game footage, it provided proof of concept of what Virtua Fighter 6 may be like. It had a lot of heavy hits and great use of blocking, which are staples of the series. Piglets, a new series from the writers of Green Wing, is heading to Itvx next year, and the first details of the new comedy have just landed.

Green Wing is one of the most memorable comedies of the early 2000s. Following the trials and tribulations of the staff who populate East Hampton Hospital, the writing was frequently silly and surreal, and it featured star making turns from the likes of Tamsin Greig, Stephen Mangan and Michelle Gomez.

Underrated comedy Campus followed a similar scenario, this time in the fictional Kirke University, where Andy Nyman’s domineering don Jonty De Wolfe ruled with an iron fist. That series has also built up quite a fanbase, and rightly so. Now? There’s more for that fanbase to look forward to as well.

That’s because the same creative team have now created Piglets, which heads to Itvx next year. The first details...

Baroness have unveiled a new song from their upcoming album, Stone. The track “Shine” is the third tune released from the LP in advance of its September 15th release.

“Shine” starts out with a quiet minute-long instrumental intro before singer-guitarists John Baizley and Gina Gleason kick the song into high gear with their dueling vocals and mighty riffs, as bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson provide a powerful rhythm section. The six-and-a-half minute track takes the listener on a thrilling journey that’s both heavy and melodic.

The new tune marks the final preview song released ahead of Stone‘s arrival. It follows previous singles “Last Word” and “Beneath the Rose.”

Upon collecting the first of the 15 Dragon Vein Essences in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a pop-up notifies players that "Dragon Vein Essence will increase the efficacy of the Dragon's Cure Pot." While the Dragon Vein Crystals upgrade the number of uses for the Dragon's Cure Pot, the Essences upgrade the quality of the Cure Pot, and how much health is given per use.

Making a point find of finding Dragon Vein Essences during the first playthrough of each mission will help players progress faster, since even the first boss can be difficult to beat in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Keep in mind that missions can be replayed if the Essence is not found during the first playthrough. Other than the Hidden Village Dragon Vein Essence, they are all in missions and sub-missions players will already be completing. The only reason not to collect them is if players are trying to self-impose an extra difficulty level.
