Another remake of William Castle’s horror classic House on Haunted Hill is on the way, and Bloody Disgusting has learned that Daniel Roebuck (Terrifier 3) has signed on.

Director Dustin Ferguson (Spider Baby) is in production now on the remake of the classic horror film House on Haunted Hill, which of course got its first remake back in 1999.

Victoria Price, daughter of horror legend Vincent Price, is executive producing the new take and will also star. Principal photography is expected to wrap this month.

The House on Haunted Hill remake’s script is set in 1976 and follows a news team investigating the infamous Hill House on live television, only to face dire consequences.

Banijay has taken full control of Mythbusters firm Beyond International and intends to rename and rebrand the Australian outfit as the “necessary integration process” kicks off. The circa-30M acquisition was first revealed in October last year, giving the acquisitive French powerhouse control of an 8,000-hour catalog including factual hits such as Highway Thru Hell, Heavy Rescue: 401, Massive Engineering Mistakes, Halifax: Retribution and Deadly Women. The move leaves distributor Banijay Rights, which shops the likes of MasterChef and Big Brother, with a circa-130,000 hour catalog. Today, Banijay took full control and a spokeswoman said the intention is that “[Beyond’s] distribution activities will fall under Banijay Rights’ name.” The acquisition was carried out via a Scheme Implementation Deed which, once implemented, means Beyond ceases to be publicly traded. The low-budget film charts the story of Jane, who is trapped in an unknown world with endless possibilities. She must discover a way to access them and alter her reality before she is destined to repeat the same test over and again ad infinitum. The team is now working on a U.S. TV pilot and a graphic novel based on the film’s premise.
