Ashley Park sings a new original song for the Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 soundtrack
Image
Emily in Paris season 4 has officially come to an end with the release of part 2 on Sept. 12. Once again, the season finds Emily bumbling through professional and personal woes, but she does so with a bubbly spirit, a great fashion sense, and a catch soundtrack to back her up! And thankfully, there's a new Mindy original in season 4 part 2 for all of us to obsess over.

In the season 4 finale, Mindy joins Emily in Rome and hops on a piano in the piazza to play on an original song she has been writing. When the song goes viral online thanks to a tourist's video, Emily later names the song "Beautiful Ruins," and that's really what the song is: beautiful! Ashley Park couldn't be more talented, and it's so exciting that she sings another original song for the series.

Park also has a few additional music moments in part 2, much more...

What Happened To Abi Ruiz After My 600-Lb Life Season 12?
Image
Abi Ruiz is doing well after his inspiring weight-loss journey on My 600-Lb Life. The Puerto Rican man was different from the usual patients on the show. He wasn't obese by choice but because of a past accident that paralyzed him. In Abi's first scene, he revealed that he was skinny for most of his life. The My 600-Lb Life season 12 cast member put on some weight when he moved to learn sound engineering in his late teens. It was the same time Abi tried his luck at romance and found Brenda.

Abi chose to get serious with Brenda soon after meeting her. However, he got into an accident a day before the proposal, which paralyzed him. Thankfully, Brenda didn't leave Abi. She chose to stay with him and married him a few months later. Abi remained in bed for years because of his paralysis. He regained movement in his...

Image
Amy Adams' new horror-comedy movie Nightbitch has debuted to her highest Rotten Tomatoes score in eight years. Directed by Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), the Amy Adams film follows a new mother (Adams) who slowly begins to turn into a dog as the pressures of her new role in life begin to weigh down on her. The film, based on Rachel Yoder's novel of the same name, also stars Scoot McNairy as her husband, alongside Zoe Chao as Jen and Mary Holland as Miriam. The film had its premiere on September 7 at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Now, on Rotten Tomatoes, Nightbitch holds a critics score of 84% based on 19 reviews as of writing. Inside Out 2 Missed A Perfect Chance To Connect To Another Pixar Movie As Part Of The Shared Universe Theory
Image
Inside Out 2 could have connected with Turning Red through a missed opportunity to make 4*Town Riley's favorite band. Both movies explore themes of puberty in different ways, making them a potential perfect crossover for the Pixar universe. A stronger connection between Inside Out 2 and Turning Red could have simplified the confusing Pixar Universe Theory.

Like any other Pixar movie, Inside Out 2 has Easter eggs and references to other Pixar movies, but it missed the perfect chance to connect to a recent Pixar hit with a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes. After some challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic that forced Pixar to release some of its movies on Disney+, the studio has gone back to its normal release plan. After the release of Lightyear and the original story Elemental, Pixar moved on with a sequel to Pete Docters 2015 movie Inside Out, simply titled Inside Out 2.

Inside Out 2 catches up with Riley,...

Britt Lower
Darkest Miriam - Jennie Kermode - 19170
Britt Lower
Sometimes grief can leave one feeling as if one is looking at life from a distance.

Our first glimpse of Miriam (Britt Lower) is through her apartment window. She’s doing ordinary things, perhaps carrying out her morning routine, and doesn’t seem to be aware that anyone is watching. Soon she will emerge as the central subject of Naomi Jaye’s off-centre comedy drama, and yet that sense of distance will never fully go away. When we accompany her to the library where she works, she introduces us to its staff and regulars one by one, including her father – before acknowledging that he has recently died.

Screened as part of the Fantasia International Film Festival, Darkest Miriam makes use of absurdist humour to explore the sense of unreality that such a bereavement can create. We see its heroine embark on a new relationship with an immigrant she meets in the park,...
