Kevin Michael Gallagher

Kevin Gallagher was born in Rochester, NY on December 18, 1952, to Frank Gallagher and his wife, Florence. He is one of their three children. He studied at Ridge Road Elementary School, in Webster, NY. In 1961, Kevin's father was transferred to Los Angeles, which was a Kevin's dream come true, because he decided that he wanted to be an actor when he was four years old. In California, he continued his education at Cortez School, in West Covina, CA, and transferred to Ruddock School in Covina, CA within the year. After middle school, Kevin attended Royal Oak High School, in Covina, CA, until graduation. He studied drama in high school. Kevin had been a reading assignment in his English class where he was to read a Shakespearean scene and report on it. So, Kevin decided to "kill two birds with one stone" and decided to perform it in front of the class. He performed the scene, complete with dialect. After the scene, he was dreading his critique as he walked to his seat, but when the teacher spoke, his teacher told him, and the entire class, that Kevin had natural acting abilities, and instinctively knew how to act, before he was ever trained. The dialect was the result of Kevin's self study of dialects from the time he was eight, after he heard the Vaughn Meader album, "The First Family". JFK had just been elected, and Meader was speaking in the same dialect. So Kevin was fascinated with that and taught himself how to speak that way via trial and error and by listening closely. That began a lifelong love for the study of Dialects, which continues to this day. At any rate, the teacher's statement was something that Kevin never forgot.

Prior to becoming an actor, Kevin had worked for seven years in the Grocery business, and then did Route Delivery Sales for Oroweat Bread Company. After being laid off, Kevin happened to call his father, and discussed the possibility of being a businessman, like he was. That led to Kevin becoming a manufacturer's representative, which led to starting an import business, and finally to manufacturing high security locks. Kevin became President of Key Devices, Ltd. which manufactured high security locks for vending and casinos. These various professions, allows Kevin to bring many years of real world experience to his roles.

Today, Kevin is an actor, with 10+ years of continuous training. He continues to train to this day, when possible. Kevin studied under Coach Ivan Markota, of the Van Mar Academy in Hollywood and has a certificate of completion from Van Mar. Ivan was coach to many stars, such as Bryan Cranston, Sherri Shepherd, Mary Hart, Casper Van Dien, and many others. His actors have been stars and co-stars of over 1400 TV series.

As mentioned earlier, becoming an actor had been Kevin's life long dream, ever since the age of 4, when he learned that the people he was watching on TV were paid actors. He instantly wanted to become an actor, but felt it was unattainable for many years. From the age of 8, Kevin taught himself to do many dialects, for story and joke telling purposes. Through the years, he added British, Irish, French, German, Russian, Italian, Southern (upper, middle and lower class, based on regions)Chinese, Indian, Caribbean, Spanish, and many others. He also does musical impersonations of Frank Sinatra, Garth Brooks, and other artists including James Brown.

Kevin is equally adept at both Drama and Comedy.
