A single question whispered in candlelight can blur the line between life and death. Are You There? (2025) marks director Kim Noonan’s entry into psychological supernatural thrillers, with a script by Brian S. Tedeschi and Vicki Vass that probes the edge of personal reality.

At its center is Rosa Gonzalez, a paranormal psychology student who inherits a ritual candle from her late grandmother. Tasked with asking “Are you there?” as the flame bends toward “sí” or “no,” Rosa sets out to reconnect with her abuela. Early on, the ceremony feels like controlled inquiry, but soon the ritual’s response plunges her into a waking nightmare.

Jackrabbit Media is launching worldwide sales at EFM this week on holiday title Christmas In Mistletoe and will show first footage.

Collins Abbott White directs Kabby Borders and Tom Gipson in the story of a disillusioned Christmas film location scout who rediscovers her holiday spirit when she falls for the perfect leading man in the cozy mountain town of Mistletoe.

Brian S. Tedeschi and Vicki Vass of Mountain Laurel Films co-wrote the screenplay and produced, while Manish Singh served as executive producer.

Borders has appeared in Game Night, The Founder and The Dirt, and has romance Holiday A La Carte coming up.

A deadly game of 20 questions proves that some questions are best left unanswered in Are You There?

Contact the dead with the indie horror film on Digital and in select theaters on February 7 from Dark Sky Films.

Laura Sollet, Eva Meyerson, Madison Geiger, Mbeng Klovis, and Chase Bridges star. Kim Noonan directs from a script by Vicki Vass.

Exclusive: Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, actor and television host Luis Fonsi (Despacito) has signed on to star in the romantic comedy The Answer to My Prayer, in his feature film acting debut, with Oscar nominee Edward James Olmos (Stand and Deliver) coming aboard the project as an executive producer.

The film from director Patrick Perez Vidauri follows the romantic travails of three friends in San Antonio, Texas whose destinies are changed by an ancient prayer that guides them to true love. Cristina Nava and Vidauri will produce the pic written by Nancy De Los Santos via their companies Migrant Filmworks and Citizen Skull. Roberto Treviño and Eileen Kret (Selena) will serve as its co-producers.

Fonsi is represented by CAA; Olmos by CAA and Untitled Entertainment; and Vidauri and Nava by Citizen Skull Management.
