The outrageous Deadpool & Wolverine features one of the strangest multiverse sequences in superhero movie history, and it turns out that behind-the-scenes it looked even wilder. In the franchise-melding MCU movie, Deadpool traverses the multiverse to find a Wolverine variant. This leads to a bizarre and surreal moment involving a crucified Wolverine on a giant X-shaped cross. Taken straight from the comics, this reference was one of the most thrilling, and according to Assembled: The Making of Deadpool & Wolverine, looked even stranger in real life and almost never happened.

Deadpool & Wolverine depicts the eponymous antiheroes joining the MCU timeline. During this, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool encounters a stunning array of Wolverine variants taken straight from the comics. These include Patch, Age of Apocalypse Wolverine, John Byrnes iconic yellow-and-tan-suited Wolverine, Old Man Logan, and a rendition based on the Uncanny X-Men storyline Fever Dream, a comic where Wolverine is crucified.

The Vision could rock a Venom-inspired look in the MCU, as shown in a Black Costume variant cover for Avengers #14. Marvel celebrates 40 years since Spider-Man's black costume, featuring icons like Vision in this iconic suit. Rumors swirl about the Vision's return to the MCU, but his new black and white ensemble could make a commanding comeback.

When fans last saw Vision in the MCU, he was sporting an all-white look, but should he return, his Venom-inspired appearance would be the perfect design. To help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Spider-Mans black costume in 2024, Marvel is releasing a series of variants featuring their biggest icons wearing the iconic suit. On the variant cover of Avengers #14, Vision dons the suit to awesome effect.
