For a time, "The Walking Dead" was the biggest show on cable. It was truly a juggernaut, and one that wasn't necessarily expected to become such a widespread hit. When it did, AMC was quick to capitalize on the success with a spin-off in the form of "Fear the Walking Dead." Debuting on the network in 2015, this show took us back to the very beginnings of the zombie outbreak in Los Angeles, centering on a new collection of characters.
"Fear the Walking Dead" ran for a full eight seasons, making it a wildly successful spin-off and paving the way for AMC to build out an entire universe that is still going strong today. While some of the characters from these shows lived on and were able to venture into different spin-offs, others weren't so lucky. Such was the case with Nick Clark (Frank Dillane), who was not only an important...

Impactful deaths in both Fear The Walking Dead and the main show are not always the saddest, as they can lead to other characters' development and story progression regardless. Characters like Charlie, Will, John Dorie, Logan, Nick, Jeremiah, Chris, and Liza all had deaths that had notable impacts on the show and other characters.
Much like the flagship show, Fear The Walking Dead included numerous deaths per season, some more impactful than others. Fear The Walking Dead's series finale was more conclusive than the main show, ending with the remaining characters heading off in separate directions to help others. In the spirit of tying up loose ends, Fear The Walking Dead also saw a major antagonist's death in the penultimate episode, namely Troy Otto's.

Nick Clark's death in Fear the Walking Dead was not a creative decision, but rather a request made by actor Frank Dillane. Dillane asked to leave the show after being on it for three or four years and feeling that it was time to move on. Nick's death had a significant impact on the characters in the final season, especially Morgan and Madison, who are still struggling with the emotional trauma.
In Fear the Walking Dead, Nick Clark died in season 4, but it wasn't a creative decision to push the plot forward. Frank Dillane portrayed the troubled character since the spinoff's debut in 2015. Nick, who was the eldest child of Madison (Kim Dickens) and the brother to Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), served as a central character for three years, leading up to his shocking death. Fear The Walking Dead season 8, episode 9 teases the return of a major villain, but it's not Troy. Strand, who previously redeemed himself, may be reverting back to his villainous ways in the battle for Padre. Balancing Strand's character growth and maintaining his relationship with his husband while still fighting for Padre's safety will be crucial.
With Fear The Walking Dead rapidly approaching the show's end, episode 9 teasing a major villain return may be surprising, because it isn't Daniel Sharman's Troy. Fear The Walking Dead season 8's cast has already included numerous shock returns, such as Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) and Troy. Fear The Walking Dead has featured a string of sinister antagonists during its run, ranging from Proctor John - a ruthless leader unfazed by violence - to Virginia, leader of the Pioneers with a tendency for torture.

Fear the Walking Dead's latest episode brings back Charlie and explores her complicated relationship with Madison, ultimately resulting in Charlie sacrificing herself to protect the location of Padre from Troy. Co-showrunner Andrew Chambliss explains that the decision to kill off Charlie was made to give her a true sendoff and to test Madison's ability to forgive the person who killed her son, serving as a way for Madison to make up for leading her to Troy. The theme of forgiveness is prominent in this episode, as Madison wrestles with whether she can forgive Charlie for killing Nick. In the penultimate episode of Fear The Walking Dead season 7, Charlie and Alicia share a poignant moment on the beach, reflecting on their journey and the significance of finally seeing a beach. Charlie's line, "I finally got to see a beach," calls back to a previous episode in season 4, where Alicia helped Charlie visualize what a beach looked like after her brother's death. The beach scene in season 7 brings closure to their unresolved storyline. While Alicia's fate doesn't seem certain, Charlie's fate remains unknown. Daniel believes she died from zombie radiation, but Madison suggests that there may be hope in Padre's files to reveal Charlie's true fate.
Fear The Walking Dead brought a resolution to a poignant Charlie and Alicia storyline. Following a surprisingly mild battle for the Tower and an even more surprising back-down from Victor Strand, Fear The Walking Dead season 7's penultimate episode culminated on a tranquil beach.

The Fear the Walking Dead season 8 cast sees some major changes to the ensemble, with some actors getting bigger roles and others missing from the lineup entirely. A companion series to The Walking Dead, the spinoff revolves around a band of survivors contending with the undead. Set seven years after the previous season, Fear the Walking Dead season 8 takes place on Padre’s sinister island, where all the characters have been living. Although it started out as a prequel exploring the early days of the zombie apocalypse, Fear the Walking Dead got a soft reboot in season 4 that refocused the spinoff on characters from the flagship series.

Several questions need to be properly answered before Fear the Walking Dead ends. Not long after the conclusion of the main series, The Walking Dead’s first spinoff is set to wrap up as well. Though the continuation of certain stories is possible, the overarching narrative of the series will come to a close with Fear the Walking Dead season 8.
Fear the Walking Dead has 12 episodes left to finish the story. Split into two six-episode parts, the spinoff’s eighth and final season is confirmed to center on the fight with Padre, the mysterious organization so many characters were intent on finding during the war with Victor Strand. With that being the case, it appears Morgan’s group has one last challenge to overcome. [Warning: The following contains spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 13, “Sonny Boy.”] Fear the Walking Dead just got rid of two main characters in a single episode, but we’re predicting the blood won’t stop flowing there in the Tower War. Currently, there are more characters than perhaps ever before who might depart the world of walkers before Season 7 ends; characters have radiation poisoning, characters have switched sides, characters have lied to former Somba Negra agents. Here, we’re discussing which of the characters currently in peril might not live to see Season 8. Lauren “Lo” Smith/AMC Charlie Unfortunately—or maybe fortunately, depending on how bitter you still are over Nick’s (Frank Dillane) death—Charlie (Alexa Nisenson) is probably most likely to die within the next few episodes. While characters have beaten radiation poisoning before, their health hasn’t deteriorated as quickly or visibly as Charlie’s. Plus, if ...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 10, “Mourning Cloak.”] Do you sometimes wish Fear The Walking Dead played like a Netflix original? If so, you’re in luck: The “Mourning Cloak” episode is this show doing its own version of the coming-of-age movies for which Netflix is known. Call this the Twd-verse’s spin on the form: Romeo & Juliet… and zombies. Because there’s only one character on Fear in that age range — with Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) having grown out of teen-dom several time jumps ago — there’s only one character this episode can center around: Charlie (Alexa Nisenson). We’re also introduced to a new character named Ali (Ashton Arab), who is, you guessed it, Charlie’s love interest. Lauren “Lo” Smith/AMC For an episode centered on Charlie, a decent amount of the plot does revolve around Ali. We learn ...

Charlie has always been one of the more polarizing characters on the series, but Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 10 was a change of pace.
Celebrating her 13th birthday was always going to be tough, but the series highlighted the fact that children need to grow up much faster thanks to the new world order.
She's been through a lot in such a short time, but we also need to remember that she was still a child when she killed Nick.
With the news of Madison's return, many thought she would get some revenge on Charlie for what she did to her son, but now that Charlie has radiation poisoning, I fully expect Madison to come to terms with the fact that she was a kid and that she doesn't have long to live anyway.
Then again, Alicia was affected by a radiation-filled zombie early on, Fear the Walking Dead...

The world as our favorite characters knows it is over.
That might seem like a strange observation when you consider the fact they've spent years fighting for survival in a zombie apocalypse, but now they have a new world to endure, one that is filled with radiation and new perils.
One of those perils appears to be good old Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).
While the freshly released Comic-Con clips for Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 spends a lot of time on the events of the nuclear blast, it does begin to paint a picture of what we can expect when the series returns later this year.
The characters have been haunted by the sins of the past for so long that there's no telling how far they will be pushed to survive.

(This article contains spoilers for the season 6 finale of “Fear the Walking Dead.”)
Now that is follow-through.
I’m not sure many people expected actually expected much of anything would happen with the nuke when we learned that Teddy’s doomsday cult wanted to blow everybody on “Fear the Walking Dead” up. Obviously, it’s a pretty exciting threat to have to deal with, but come on. Did you really think a nuke would go off on this show?
Regardless of our expectations, they did it. They really did it. And I think I can speak for most viewers when I say I’m extremely curious about what’s gonna happen now that Isabelle, Al’s girlfriend from the Civic Republic — those are the baddies from “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” — is apparently now taking an active role in events on “Fear.”

June is no longer welcome at Morgan's compound.
That much is evident after watching the first few minutes of Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 13, which we're able to share with you exclusively.
We get to see June arriving at the compound, only to be stopped at the gate by Morgan, who wonders whether his and Grace's child would have survived had they not had to travel to June.
That allows June to confirm that it wouldn't have helped because the child had already died.
Morgan reveals that Grace will not speak to anyone and is holed up in the old church. Understandably, she's suffering, and it will probably be sometime before she can confront the insurmountable loss.
But, for now, June is kicked out of the compound and no longer welcome, no matter how much she tells Morgan that a doctor should look over grace.
Ultimately, June exits the compound after Morgan persists,...

After being forced to enter a hiatus earlier than planned due to Covid-19, we finally have a return date for Fear the Walking Dead.
AMC announced today that the second half of Fear the Walking Dead 6, featuring nine all-new episodes, will return on Sunday, April 11 at 9 pm/8c.
A new episode of Talking Dead will air later that evening, which probably means something huge is about to go down.
The talk-show spinoff typically airs after the episodes that feature the biggest drama, and given the way Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 7 ended, we're inclined to believe the drama will be off the rails for our characters as they navigate uncharted waters.
As has been the norm for a while now, new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead will also be available early on AMC+ each week.

The last time we saw Morgan (Lennie James), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and the other survivors on “Fear The Walking Dead,” they were planning on traveling to the new place Morgan was building. The only problem? Strand (Colman Domingo) chose not to go with his friends to safety, and instead went back to Virginia (Colby Minifie) and her group of ruthless Pioneers. When “Fear” returns on April 11, 2021 for the second half of Season 6, what can fans expect? Scroll down for a list of exciting spoilers released by AMC.

We've seen the characters of Fear The Walking Dead experience crucial arcs of loss, love, and hope over the past six seasons (it feels like an eternity since we first watched Nick wake up in a living nightmare), and those journeys will continue into another season, as AMC has renewed Fear The Walking Dead for a seventh season, according to a new video on the show's official Twitter page (see video below).
Starring Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Karen David, Colman Domingo, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson, Austin Amelio, Maggie Grace, Danay Garcia, and Rubén Blades, Fear The Walking Dead Season 6 is currently on its mid-season break after its first seven episodes aired in the fall.
The second half of the sixth season will premiere in 2021, and you can check out a trailer for the upcoming episodes to get an idea of what's up ahead.

With The Walking Dead ending, fans have been questioning whether its spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, would also be on the chopping block.
Thankfully, AMC put those fears to bed on Thursday afternoon.
The cabler has placed an order for a seventh season of the zombie drama, according to the show's official Twitter account.
The news is hardly surprising: the series is still pulling in decent ratings in its sixth season.
Nine episodes remain on Fear the Walking Dead Season 6, which was forced to enter a hiatus early due to the pandemic.
But production on the final nine episodes is underway, and they are expected to hit the air during the first half of 2021.
The show remains a solid option in delayed viewing, and we need to take into consideration here that AMC has been making this season's episodes available early for AMC+ subscribers, the minor erosion year-to-year is to be expected.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 7
The last time I struggled to write a review for Fear the Walking Dead was the season 4 finale, “…I Lose Myself.” I wrote at the time, “Several false starts and a couple thousand words later, I realized I wasn’t writing a review for a lackluster episode. Rather, I was writing a eulogy for a show I once loved.”
Unfortunately, history seems to be repeating itself. And this is a difficult thing to admit, since season 6 showed so much promise. If this season could be described as a single color, it would be greige, the nearly nonexistent color that exists between beige and grey. Greige is the color of long-in-the-tooth zombies. It is the color of leftover oatmeal. Greige is, in a word, the very color of boredom itself. Season 6 hasn’t been all bad, of course.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 2
Generally speaking, I tend to take a more philosophical approach to writing my reviews. Zombie shows in particular have a lot of meat on the bone in this regard, and offer a lot of food for thought. Puns aside, this week’s “Welcome to the Club,” directed by none other than Fear the Walking Dead’s own Lennie James, tackles the notion of identity-defining morality in an episode that’s filled with plenty of twists and turns. You can read more about James’s first time in the director’s chair in our interview with him here.
This may be James’s directorial debut, but he nonetheless delivers one of Fear’s strongest episodes. I certainly appreciated the old-school horror movie vibe he brought to this week’s morality play. And he gets strong performances from...

Zoe Colletti is joining Fear The Walking Dead as a new series regular for the upcoming sixth season of the AMC series. Additionally, we’ll be seeing more of Sarah and Wes. Mo Collins and Colby Hollman, who have recurred, respectively, as the characters, have been promoted to series regulars for the new season. No details are being revealed about Colletti’s character, other than it is “a pivotal new role that will unfurl as the season progresses.”
Collins’ Sarah was introduced in season four after encountering Morgan (Lennie James) at a truck stop. She then joins the group, along with her brother, on their mission to help those in need. Hollman’s Wes, though initially reluctant to accept help from the group, eventually comes around to their philosophy and joins them, only to be split up by Virginia (Colby Minifie) in the season finale.
