The Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise now has a "closed" book of canon, with the original anime series from the 1990s long since concluded and the Rebuild of Evangelion films having also finished in more recent years. The existence of the latter continuity inducts the brand into another "series," however, which explains why it's receiving its latest form of merchandise.
The new "Evangelion Unit-01 (Shin Japan Heroes Universe) Figure" is one of four statues making up a series that represents the Shin Japan Heroes. The others involve wildly disparate franchises that are now all connected by the creator behind the projects and the marketing prefix given to them. With the Unit-01 is simply one part of the equation, fans can go ahead and pre-order the pricey collectible from Good Smile Company to begin building their Shin Japan Heroes Universe collection.

Fans of Neon Genesis Evangelion can now slice into Angels while reliving moments from the series' modern movie trilogy.
The Evangelion Progressive Knife Pkn-01C replica recreates a key weapon from the series, allowing fans to relive a scene from Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Based on a weapon used by the Eva Unit-01, the prop may be a mere toy, but it's still a tantalizing piece for collectors looking to put on their shelves. Most importantly, the Progressive Knife even plays voice clips and a song sound bite from the series as well -- and perhaps best of all, fans around the world, not only in Japan, are able to purchase it.

In “Caligula: The Ultimate Cut,” absolute power corrupts absolutely, but even using absolutely all of the footage shot for the notorious production back in 1976 does not necessarily result in a better film. The most expensive independent film ever produced until that time, “Caligula” was conceived by late Penthouse founder Bob Guccione as a sexually explicit film that also featured real actors and high production values; hiring bestselling author Gore Vidal to write a script for Italian avant-garde director Tinto Brass (“Salon Kitty”), Guccione subsequently attracted such respected thespians as Malcolm McDowell, Peter O’Toole, John Gielgud and Helen Mirren to star. But after disputes between Brass and Vidal prompted the author to sue to remove his name from the film, Guccione commandeered final cut and inserted shots of graphic sex and violence, prompting cast and crew alike to disavow the film.

The second Rebuild of Evangelion movie ended with a tease for the next film, but that movie wouldn't be out for five years, leaving fans with a mysterious image of Asuka wearing an eyepatch that led to a lot of jokes. While Asuka does have an eyepatch in the third film, it's kind of glossed over, leaving many fans of the original series to wonder how exactly she got it.
Among the many changes for Rebuild of Evangelion, one of them was eliminating Toji Suzuhara, Shinji's friend from school, as a potential Eva pilot. However, the events related to Unit 03 and the Angel still occur--this time, however, it's Asuka in Unit 03's pilot seat. Unit 03 is contaminated by a blue goo, which turns out to be the Ninth Angel. The goo reaches the inside of the entry plug and begins to contaminate Asuka as well, causing an emergency alert...

The final adventure of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones has finally come, as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny just arrived for one last high-flying adventure epic, and since it's been more than forty years since Indy's first adventure, the fifth quest features many elements from the swashbuckling archeologist's storied past.
Taking place primarily during the heightened tension of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union, Indy and his estranged goddaughter Helena Shaw (Pheobe Waller-Bridge) hunt down the Dial of Archimedes, which can locate fissures in time and change history before Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen), a Nazi-turned-NASA-scientist, can get it to kill Adolf Hitler and become Führer himself to alter the outcome of World War II and change the world.
There are plenty of subtle callbacks and obvious cameos for us to unearth alongside Indy, so let's take a look and find...

There was genuine curiosity for many of us when James Mangold was confirmed as director on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fifth and final entry in the beloved franchise that started with a bang in 1981 when Steven Spielberg and George Lucas reimagined the Saturday matinee adventure serials they grew up with for a new generation that couldn’t get enough. Mangold, after all, was the man who not only resuscitated the weary Wolverine but gave the character a genuinely poignant sendoff that was thoughtful, textured, even profound in 2017’s Logan.
Maybe the Indiana Jones films, with their appealing combination of laughs and close-shave thrills built around a rugged, quick-thinking archeologist in a fedora and leather jacket, were never going to be a great fit for that kind of gritty treatment. But it seemed fair to hope for at least some kind of fresh take beyond the rinse-and-repeat...

Shin Godzilla is the 2016 film reimagining of the famous kaiju by famed creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hideaki Anno. Now, in an impressive piece of fan art, these two popular properties are combined as Godzilla becomes Neon Genesis Evangelion's Lilith.
Shin Godzilla is a retelling of Godzilla's origin in which politicians struggle with bureaucratic red tape and the politics behind a giant kaiju attack while Godzilla wreaks havoc on Japan. The film has been praised for bringing Godzilla back to his roots as a symbol of nuclear devastation. Godzilla's design in the film is a departure from his normal look, but the King of Monsters retains his iconic tail and dorsal fins. This redesign was already more nightmarish than most depictions of the classic kaiju, but that scare factor was just ramped up in new fan art.
