Biography

Benjamin Russell was born in Denver, Colorado. He lived in Kansas, North Dakota, and Washington before settling in Los Angeles. He is of Scottish, Irish, German, English, and French ancestry. He started his acting career as a young kid in Bismark, North Dakota doing local theater and commercials. While going to high school in Washington state, he joined a theatre group where he acted, directed, and wrote plays. After encouragement from his acting coach, Ben decided to take his career seriously and move to Los Angeles. There, he started studying Meisner Technique at Studio 4 as well as Improv, Scene Study, and On-Camera Technique. In his spare time, he studied other great acting teachers like Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg. He also was a member of the oldest theatre group in Los Angeles, Theatre West. Ben Russell is a versatile talent who admires the great acting legends like Marlon Brando and James Dean.
