"Sweetie, we can go at it again." Here's something fun, and just a bit raunchy, to watch whenever you have a spare moment. Botanica is an award-winning short film made by Dutch filmmaker Noël Loozen. After playing at film festivals for the past two years, it's finally online and free to view. The Nsfw short is about a garden-center employee who is afraid of infertility, but learns that he just needs to swallow his pride if he's going to keep his lover (and have a baby). Botanica stars Sytske van der Ster, Guido Pollemans, Jiri Loozen, Olivia Lonsdale, and Victor Peeters. This is a superb short, with some hilarious dark comedy and clever cinematography. Dutch Features, one of Holland’s leading sales agencies, has acquired the cross-cultural romantic comedy “Cuban Love” directed by Johan Nijenhuis (“Tuscan Wedding”) ahead of the European Film Market.

“Cuban Live” is headlined by Susan Visser, who won the Efp Shooting Star at the Berlin Film Festival in 2015. Set to open in the Netherlands on Valentines Day, “Cuban Love” tells the story of a divorcee, Loes, (Susan Visser) who has lost all faith in love and has to travel to Cuba to prevent her daughter Maartje (Abbey Hoes) from marrying a Cuban citizen (Rolf Sanchez). Once in Cuba, Loes finds herself learning more about love and romance than she had ever expected.

Dutch Feature has also come on board Norbert ter Hall’s “Promise of Pisa,” a coming-of-age drama which is currently in-production. The company will be showing a first promo of the movie during the European Film Market.

Dennis Bots directs the film, which is based on a bestselling novel by Mel Wallis De Vries, adapted by Alexandra Penrhyn Lowe.

The story is about four high school girls who go for a relaxing weekend at a remote cottage in the Ardennes. Their stay becomes a living hell after a series of weird and disturbing events.

Sales outfit Dutch Features has been enjoying a bumper market led by key sales on Silk Road starring Olivia Lonsdale.

Rights have gone in Germany (Tele München), Spain (AMC Network), and Scandinavia (Manymore Films).

The psychological thriller is inspired by the life of a small-town boy from Holland who becomes the world’s most wanted cybercriminal.

Meanwhile comedy Ron Goossens, Low Budget Stuntman from Steffen Haars and Flip Van der Kuill, has been snapped up for Germany and Italy (Koch Media), and China (Hy Media).

Marc Conen’s thriller Sunset Contract about a social media mogul who encounters the devil in the form of a woman, has closed with Hy media for China. TV series Riphagen has gone to Latin America (Centauro) and China (Melting Culture).
