Cineverse has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the gore-soaked action horror comedy Here for Blood, with their plan being to give the film a theatrical and digital release on February 9th. It will be available to watch on the horror streaming service Screambox that same day. With that date right around the corner, a full trailer for Here for Blood has arrived online, and you can watch it in the embed above.

Directed by Daniel Turres from a screenplay written by James Roberts, Here for Blood follows a down-on-his-luck wrestler and his girlfriend, who are having a hard time making ends meet. When his girlfriend finds herself overwhelmed by exams, muscle-bound wrestler Tom O’Bannon steps in to cover one of her babysitting gigs. But his chill night of junk food and video games quickly takes a turn for the cult-ish when the home is invaded by a gang of mask wearing maniacs.

We have an Exclusive bit of cool news to share with you today, as Cineverse has announced that they have acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the gore-soaked action horror comedy Here for Blood! Specific release dates haven’t been revealed yet, but Cineverse did confirm that they plan to give Here for Blood a theatrical release sometime in 2024, then the movie will be moving over to their horror streaming service Screambox.

Following its premiere at FrightFest in Glasgow in which it became an instant crowd favorite, Pageman Productions and Daniel Turres‘s ultra-gory, action-horror Here For Blood is getting an encore screening at next month’s FrightFest in London (Aug. 25).

To celebrate the premiere, the filmmakers have shared the first teaser trailer that gives us a small taste of the gory chaos that ensues when demons invade a home only to find out they’re going to have to go up against a professional wrestler, played by Shawn Roberts, best known by horror fans for his role as Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil films.

Masha Slamovich and Jordynne Grace renew hostilities in tonight’s opening contest! Grace hits a Vader Bomb out of the corner to gain the early advantage. Slamovich sends her throat-first into the middle rope, then capitalizes with a running boot. Slamovich locks in the Camel Clutch. Grace fights free but Slamovich quickly regains control. Slamovich avoids another Vader Bomb attempt but Grace takes her off the top with a Muscle Buster for two. Grace hits a series of powerslams for a very close near fall. The cold open of Tadff’s closing night feature isn’t perfect. The shots feel cheap, the blood is too red, and the edit takes a bit too long to show us the victim’s scream. But what shouts “clunky, cheap, and bloody,” ends up quickly morphing into, “jaw shattering, inexpensive, and bloody.” Here for Blood is a thick hero’s slow walk to victory that passes through horror sub-genres like a jaunt through a neighborhood haunted house.

Tom O’Bannon (Shawn Roberts) is down on his luck, earning a measly twenty bucks for a night of wrestling. So is his girlfriend, Phoebe (Joelle Farrow), but she has a chance if she can balance studying for exams with her three jobs. To help her out, Tom agrees to take on her babysitting job for the night, keeping an eye on plucky young Grace (Maya Misaljevic) in her mother and stepfather’s lustrous home.
