We can all probably admit that we’ll spend a good amount of the holiday season in front of the tube mindlessly watching lame commercials. Yet something that always makes us do a double take is when we see an awesome celebrity in one of these lame commercials shilling some random product that: 1. You know they’re not using, and 2. They’re way too good for.

To us, home shopping networks mean deals on paring knives, overpriced costume bling, and velour birthday presents from our aunt that are still at the bottom of our closet. Well, pull out that velour jumpsuit from Aunt Carla, because QVC has some hot and trendy celebs vetting products on their channel. (And some of them are actually cute and wearable! Don’t tell.)
Much like everything great, Joan Rivers paved the way for this to be acceptable, and as we watched all of this awkward QVC celeb footage, we were thanking her so hard.
Ellen DeGeneres E.D On Air by Ellen DeGeneres
Everyone’s favorite happy-go-lucky daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres isn’t just using her stylish moves up and down staircases on The Ellen Degeneres Show anymore. That’s right, America’s sweetheart funny lady has her own home decor line with QVC. She’s pretty stylish as is — hello,...

The biopic is alive and well this fall movie season, and luckily the latest offerings are much better than Lifetime’s Aaliyah movie. In The Imitation Game, Benedict Cumberbatch plays Alan Turing, the British mathematician who helped cracked Nazi code during World War II, while fellow English dreamboat Eddie Redmayne tackles the early life of cosmologist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. Typically you’ll see one of these attractive actors on the red carpet and think, “Marry me.” But when you see them portraying a brilliant mind on the big screen you’re suddenly like, “Marry me, and have my babies while taking care of my taxes until death do us part!”
These actors aren’t necessarily geniuses in real life, but they play them on the big screen and we’re totally Ok with drooling over that. From biographical portrayals of...
