Stranger Things is coming to an end with its upcoming season on Netflix, and Ross Duffer is teasing the first two episodes.
In a new post on social media, one-half of the Duffer Brothers series creators teased that the post-production process on the first two episodes of the sci-fi series’ final season had been completed.
“Chapters One and Two: locked, mixed, scored, colored, Done,” read the caption on Instagram.
Duffer included photos of the episode titles with Chapter One being titled “The Crawl” and Chapter Two being titled “The Vanishing of…,” with the name of the character excluded to prevent spoilers.
The series creator said that “The Crawl” is their favorite episode as it is “the most eventful episode since Season 1.”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Stranger Things season 5 for a while, and with the official release date having been announced two months ago, the excitement has only grown stronger. With the first set of episodes dropping on Netflix this November, everyone is gearing up for what will surely be an exhilarating start to the final season.
The cameras officially stopped rolling on the fifth installment back in December 2024, and the new episodes are currently being edited to perfection in post-production. We've been trying to keep ourselves busy in the meantime while we wait for Stranger Things season 5, and luckily, the cast and crew have been keeping us pretty occupied by sharing behind-the-scenes stories and other juicy deets about the show.

Because of the show's fraught production schedule over the last few seasons, it can be tricky at times to keep the "Stranger Things" timeline straight. The first season begins in November 1983. The core group of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) are in the fall of their seventh-grade year, while Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) are sophomores in high school. Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), who starts the series as more of an ineffectual villain before reforming his ways, is a junior, which would make him 16 or 17.
Since the first episode, the show has covered about two and a half years, with season 2 set a year after season 1 in 1984, season 3 taking place in the summer of 1985, and season 4 covering the spring of 1986. An official synopsis from Netflix released alongside the "Stranger Things" season 5 teaser trailer claims...

Finn Wolfhard was determined to stay in the moment. “Everyone was thinking about the end and was down, and I would just be like, ‘Yeah, but we’re all here hanging out. It’s fine,’” he recalls. “And I would push it away.” On Dec. 20, there was no more denial. He was filming the grand finale on a stage in the show’s Atlanta studio and noticed a massive crowd, including no less than Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos, gathering. Among the throng, Wolfhard spotted cast members Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke, who all remained in Atlanta even though they wrapped production days earlier. “I turned around from the monitors, and it was hundreds of people just hanging out for the first time in the same room after 10 years of working. And they were just watching,” he remembers. “So if that wasn’t enough of a mindfuck there,...

The stunner Zendaya has tons of people lining up at her front door, mesmerized by her beauty, including even celebrities from the entertainment industry. But did you know one Stranger Things actor also fell in that category so brutally that he actually couldn’t stop gushing in praise for the Euphoria actress? When it comes to Noah Schnapp, that’s only true.
Back in 2019, the actor unhesitantly expressed the same in a Wired Autocomplete Interview, getting candid about his adoration for the Spider-Man: Far From Home actress. Referencing an interview she did for the movie, he confessed:
I like Zendaya. She was just here, actually, and now I’m standing in her presence.
So, Tom Holland had competition when it came to the Challengers actress? Well, it sure sounds like it, considering how Schnapp unhesitantly declared his love for his crush more than a few times over the years before Holland stole her away.

Stranger Things is all set to come to an end after nearly a decade, with the Netflix series expected to deliver all manner of horror, action, excitement, and surprises as it brings the sci-fi series phenomenon to its long-awaited conclusion. The first official teaser trailer for “Stranger Things 5” arrived last week, followed soon after by social media rumors that the final season would run a tidy but daunting 19 hours long.
Don’t worry; series co-creator and showrunner Ross Duffer has officially debunked the “leaked” episode runtimes as false.
While it was highly circulated on social media that each of the final eight episodes would be feature-length, with many clocking in at two and a half hours or more, Ross Duffer shot those claims down via Instagram stories, stating that the rumored episode durations are “not even close to accurate.”
Of course, “Stranger Things” has featured robust runtimes before. The fourth season’s finale ran two hours and nineteen minutes, which only added plausibility to the circulating rumors. Especially as Duffer previously teased, “So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.

As Netflix‘s Stranger Things prepares to return for its fifth and final season this fall, fans are buzzing with new theories. Vecna’s terrifying new form may be hiding more than just injuries; it could be hiding someone else entirely, possibly Will Byers. A brief moment in the official Season 5 trailer shows Vecna with a more spiked appearance and an obscure face.
There is also a scene where Will’s face gets covered with vines. It intensifies the speculation that he’s possessing Will. This may be tied to Will’s lingering connection to the Upside Down that links him to Vecna. And could this mean Hawkins’ most haunted teen is Vecna’s final weapon? Meanwhile, Vecna’s actor also opened up about the mental toll of playing Vecna.

Netflix’s Stranger Things already dropped the trailer for its forthcoming and final season on July 16, promising that Season 5 is going to be darker than ever. With the new season still months away, it has once again paved the path open for the deaths of fan-favorite characters or given new meaning to old scenes from the earlier seasons.
This left us thinking: what if the impending doom upon Hawkins is far greater than Vecna and the dark creatures from the Upside Down? What if the danger that they are so afraid of is amongst them and would turn up on them when they least expected it? This betrayal could potentially come from Eleven, as it has been teased before by One, persuading her to jump ship.
Stranger Things Season 5 Could Turn Eleven from Savior to Destroyer
It comes as no surprise that Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) character has been doused in internal struggles.

From fighting Demogorgons to building a beauty empire, Millie Bobby Brown has come a long way since we first met her as Eleven in Stranger Things. Back in 2016, she was the mysterious, buzzcut-wearing kid who barely spoke but somehow stole every scene. Fast-forward to today, she’s a red carpet regular, a skincare mogul, a movie star, and a newly married woman.
Over the years, we’ve watched her go from Netflix newbie to full-blown Hollywood powerhouse. She’s tackled monsters, award shows, launched a successful brand (Florence by Mills), and managed to keep it all refreshingly real. And with a wedding to Jake Bongiovi now under her belt, she’s officially in her adulting era.
So, how exactly did she go from Hawkins to headline-maker? Let’s take a year-by-year stroll through the evolution of Millie Bobby Brown, and it’s one heck of a glow-up to say the least.

The fifth and final season of the show has been in the works ever since Part 2 of Season 4 arrived in July 2022, with the writers room for the next season opening August that year. "I need you to fight one last time."
Netflix released the first trailer for Stranger Things 5, the fifth and final season of its massively popular '80s-set sci-fi adventure series. The teaser previews an epic battle between the Hawkins crew and the sinister interdimensional being Vecna. The story that began way back in 2016 has been building to this.
The trailer features a lot of exciting imagery without giving away a lot of plot details. The trailer starts with Steve Harrington inside of a van with a satellite dish on top outside of a radio station, and throughout the trailer, he's cranking the volume up on whatever he's broadcasting up to 1000 decibels. Over the radio, we hear Dustin Henderson counting down to the start of a "burn" — creatures from the Upside Down hate fire — while everyone else waits anxiously. Something big is about to happen.

“Let’s end this, kid,” David Harbour’s Hopper earnestly declares in the first teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. The first volume of the sci-fi drama’s final chapter arrives November 26, followed by volume two on Christmas Day and the finale on December 31.
Season five picks up in the fall of 1987, not long after the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, has been invaded by the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. The characters have gotten a bit older (it’s been three years since the season four finale) and the hair styles have grown a little bigger (Nancy Wheeler’s perm is…perm-ier).
The new episodes will see Hopper, Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), Max (Sadie Sink), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Steven (Joe Keery), and...

We've been waiting for this for the past three years, but the first trailer for Stranger Things' fifth and final season is finally here. The sneak peek is suitably epic and is packed full of visual effects, and the promise of an epic conclusion to the series that first premiered on Netflix in 2016.
The story is still being kept largely under wraps, but we do get a first look at Terminator icon Linda Hamilton as the mysterious Dr. Kay and some huge set pieces.
Among them is a scene where the comatose Max is being dragged to safety by Lucas as invading Demogorgons close in. Vecna's terrifying new design can also be seen in the trailer's closing moments.
"Wherever this blood leads...I need you to fight one last time," Hopper tells Eleven before lobbing a few grenades. "Let's end this, kid."

When Stranger Things on Netflix debuted in 2016, Joyce Byers was seen as the frantic, struggling mother whose life had been upended by her son Will’s disappearance. Almost a decade since its first installment, the show is now headed toward a much-anticipated finale season.
And with the announcement of a final season, have come plenty of Stranger Things theories that are predicting what is to be expected of the upcoming installment. One such fan theory has recently been surfacing on the internet and sparking discourse on Reddit. The theory talks about the possible death of Will Byers in Season 5, which will naturally take a toll on Joyce, much like Season 1. And with the Duffer Brothers promising us an explosive final season, the theory honestly does seem plausible.
Stranger Things Season 5 Might Be Gearing Up for Joyce’s Worst Nightmare

The horror and innocence of Stranger Thingsmake it a one-of-a-kind show that fans are waiting to culminate despite a long gap between seasons. The show's cast has been teasing an emotional fifth and final season, and it will be as fans bid farewell to the long-running series. We have come a long way since Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) went missing and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) appeared in our lives, and fans' love for the show is further cemented by the new Nielsen data.
Per Deadline, Stranger Things is on Nielsen’s Top 20 streaming titles (Originals) list on #17. The list is full of new titles like Squid Game, Reacher, The Night Agent, and the likes, so for a show that hasn’t released a new episode in three years, it’s a feat. It also indicates that fans are getting an early binge going on as the fifth and final season arrives later this year.

Netflix has unveiled the first poster for “Stranger Things” Season 5, teasing the hit sci-fi series’ final adventure ahead of the release of its first trailer tomorrow.
Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) looms large in the poster. With its heroes failing to completely vanquish him, “Stranger Things” Season 4 concluded with the deformed villain’s plan to destroy the barrier between the Upside Down and the real world coming to fruition. That barrier is still broken in the “Stranger Things” Season 5 poster, which features Vecna’s face in a red, smoky sky hanging over Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and their friends as they ride their bikes near a burning Hawkins, Indiana.
The poster promises “one last adventure” still to come, and fans will get their first substantial look at the series’ final chapter when the first “Stranger Things” Season 5 trailer debuts online tomorrow.

Stranger Things Creators Pulled A Twisted Prank Involving Will Byers ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
When Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in 2016, it didn’t hold back on the creepy. It had all the right ingredients for a retro-sci-fi thriller. But offscreen, things were just as deranged. The Duffer Brothers pulled off a prank so realistic it could’ve been lifted straight from the Upside Down.
Using a hyper-detailed dummy of Noah Schnapp’s character, Will Byers, the creators managed to freak out someone very close to the actor. It’s none other than Schnapp’s own mom. And the story only gets more hilarious from here.

The tale dates back to Season 1, when Stranger Things was just making waves for its eerie storytelling and ‘80s throwbacks. The storyline centered around the disappearance of Will Byers, who is abducted by a monster and...

Before Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown Played a Murderous Grade-Schooler in NCIS & It Was Terrifying ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Before Stranger Things turned her into a sci-fi icon, Millie Bobby Brown had already delivered a standout act in a completely different genre. Back in 2014, the young performer stepped into the shoes of a character far removed from her later role as Eleven.
At just 10, she played Rachel Barnes in a Season 12 episode of NCIS, portraying a grade-schooler at the center of a murder case. What started as a typical crime drama episode ended with an unexpected twist involving Brown’s character. Her performance earned attention for its intensity and calm portrayal of a child with deadly intentions.

But despite all his strength, it seems like Vecna may have made a fatal mistake by linking himself with Will. The boy who’s been through more horror than anyone else in Hawkins. Fans believe that he might be Vecna’s greatest weakness. With season 5 on the horizon, all eyes are on Will.

“So baby, raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways…” sang P!nk, and we can’t help but feel those lyrics apply to the hazy, flirtatious, and undeniably fascinating entanglement between Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat. But wait… Are they really dating? Or are we witnessing a tale that began in a social media crush and may now be dancing dangerously close to engagement rings and tabloid mayhem?
Here’s what we do know: Doja Cat and Quinn, aka the MCU’s freshly anointed Johnny Storm, were spotted multiple times together, most notably hand-in-hand in London, at an airport in Mexico, and at the Warfare after-party in LA. Their flirtatious origins date back to 2022, when Doja launched a digital love arrow at Quinn via Noah Schnapp, sparking an awkward internet episode that ended in mutual apologies.

It's an exciting time to be a fan of Stranger Things. Even though the hit Netflix original series has been off the air for what feels like a million years (but is actually only a little over three years), the franchise has continued with a stage show and an upcoming animated series spinoff ahead of the fifth and final series. There's some interesting news about the spinoff's depictions of iconic characters.
Netflix recently previewed the forthcoming animated spinoff Stranger Things: Tales from '85 and revealed new details about what to expect. The animated series has been described as a show following the characters we know and love battling new supernatural monsters in Hawkins and solving paranormal mysteries. It sounds similar to the show we have adored since day one.
But there could be some changes in store for Stranger Things: Tales from '85 that diehard fans of the series might not have anticipated.

Okay, Netflix, I see what you did, and I’m not okay. Just when I thought I had emotionally braced myself for the final chapter of Stranger Things, you dropped that missing poster like a sucker punch to the soul. It’s not just a flyer; it’s bait, it’s a breadcrumb, it’s a riddle asking who’s really looking for Jane Hopper.
With Season 5 set between November 26 and December 31, 2025, and the story reportedly leaping into Fall 1987, this poster jolts us back to June 13, 1986, when Eleven supposedly disappeared. Suddenly, our screens aren’t enough; we’re dialing numbers and decoding voice messages.
Yes, if this eerie poster and voicemail are clues, the show is preparing to pull the rug out from beneath us. This time, Hawkins isn’t trembling. It’s cracking wide open.
Eleven’s disappearance isn’t just a poster: Hawkins is hiding something? David Harbour...
