A month away from its debut, the new Disney+ and Lucasfilm animated shorts series “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” has received its first trailer and key art.

The second installment of “Tales” series, following the critically acclaimed 2022 series “Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi,” the Dave Filoni-created “Tales of the Empire” travels deep inside the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on separate paths and in different eras: young Morgan Elsbeth, who is navigating “the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance,” and former Jedi Barriss Offee, who is doing “what she must do to survive a rapidly changing galaxy.

That show was a series of animated shorts that focused on two interwoven tales of Jedi at crucial times in their development, namely Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he fell to the dark side.
