Yrf’s production has surpassed every possible prediction. Within the final 24 hours, it has witnessed a staggering growth of 263%. As per Sacnilk, Saiyaara has registered advance booking worth 9.40 crore gross (excluding blocked seats) for day 1. At the national chains alone, it has sold 1.95 lakh tickets, the second-highest of 2025 since Chhaava (2.25 lakhs).

Overall, Saiyaara has sold 3.80 lakhs tickets from 7,850 shows across the nation. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s film is recording the best trends in Delhi.

The Heart of the Story

The narrative centers on Shrirenu Tripathi (Madhavan), a reserved and traditional Sanskrit teacher from Jamshedpur, and Madhu Bose (Shaikh), a spirited and independent French instructor. Shrirenu, raised in a rigid, patriarchal family, finds his worldview challenged when he falls for Madhu, who believes in speaking her mind and objects to systemic rules placed on women. The Music Composers Association of India (McAi) and Screenwriters Association (Swa) in India have signed a historic memorandum of understanding establishing equal recognition between composers and lyricists in song creation.

Inked after months of negotiations, this pact will also establish a more structured approach to creative collaborations for music creators and also mandates separate contracts with producers, empowering both composers and lyricists to negotiate independently.

This new Mou will have a significant impact not just on India’s music industry, but also in Bollywood, where many films heavily rely on the work of both composers and lyricists.

Director and music composer Vishal Bhardwaj, president of McAi, said: “The Mou is more than an agreement, it’s a promise to ensure fair credit, respect and independence.”

Bhardwaj has directed films like Makdee, The Blue Umbrella and Khufiya and composed music for over 70 films and TV shows in India.

Singer-composer Payal Dev, who is known for songs like ‘Tum Hi Aana’ and ‘Genda Phool’, has released a new song in collaboration with Stebin Ben titled ‘Baarish Hai Jaanam’. It’s a monsoon love track and its video features actress Harshita Gaur, who is known for ‘Mirzapur’, along with Stebin.
