After more than a year of speculation, Apple TV+ has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy-winning comedy Ted Lasso. The pickup comes after co-creator and star Jason Sudeikis closed a deal to reprise his role as the title character, the manager of the fictional AFC Richmond soccer club in London.

“Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief,” Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said in a statement. “Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show.”

Exclusive: Paris-based talent agency Elevate Management has opened an office in New York as it continues its expansion having launched a sports-focused branch in Miami and an operation in London earlier this year.

The decade-old company – co-headed by Florent Lamy and Daniel Blanc – is one of the only management companies representing U.S. talents in Europe with a U.S. management agency style model.

Talents on its books include Megan Fox, Djimon Hounsou, Clara McGregor, Evangeline Lilly, Holt McCallany, Stephen Manas and director James Foley.

The New York office will be led by recently hired Head of Development Maddy Barket.

“With the opening of our New York office, Elevate Management takes a bold step forward in its mission to connect exceptional talent with the best opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Lamy and Daniel Blanc.

A New York City native, Barket graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Philosophy.

Apple TV+ is opening its own FYC activation pop-up this year, taking over Hollywood’s Goya Studios to launch the “Think Apple TV+ FYC” space from May 1 to May 14.

The streamer’s signature Emmy-winning hit “Ted Lasso” will open the space on May 1 with a fan event that includes a series trivia game, followed by a conversation moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”). As Apple TV+ prepped to roll out the blue carpet in Westwood this week for the Season 3 premiere of its Emmy Award-winning comedy juggernaut Ted Lasso, one question lingered in the air: Is this the end?

Ahead of the Tuesday night event, Ted Lasso himself, co-creator, star and executive producer Jason Sudeikis, got ahead of the inevitable press line interrogation to make it clear that the time on the Richmond scoreboard is, indeed, running out. “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell,” Sudeikis told Deadline.

The 12-episode season debuts March 15 and continues through May 31, and while options remain on the field for spinoffs and future iterations (Richmond Till We Die, anyone?), Sudeikis made it clear that this is his final bow as the beloved “aw shucks” Midwesterner turned English Premier League soccer coach but he believes there is more life left.

Exclusive: French actor and composer Stephen Manas, known for his role on Apple’s hit comedy Ted Lasso, has signed with Defining Artists Agency for representation.

In Ted Lasso, Manas plays Richard Montlaur, a French footballer who struggles to understand the thick American accent of his new coach. Season 2 premieres Friday, July 23 on Apple TV+. The series, starring Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis, has already been renewed for a third season.
