Mark Linn-Baker and Sarah Stiles lead the cast, along with Arnie Burton, Russell Daniels, Manoel Felciano, Emilie Kouatchou, Emily Swallow, and John Yi. Directors like Steven Soderbergh and Tomas Alfredson have proven they can make great horror movies, but they haven't returned to the genre. Despite their success in horror, some directors, like Jonathan Demme and Kathryn Bigelow, have never made another horror movie. James Gunn's directorial debut, "Slither," was a hit in the horror genre, but he has since focused on other genres like action and superhero films.
While there are many directors known for making horror movies, there are others who have only visited this genre once, even though they proved they can make great horror movies. The horror genre is a tricky one as making a movie that perfectly balances good stories, well-written characters, and scares is not easy. Many directors dedicate their entire careers to the horror genre, bringing both great and not-so-good movies, while others go back and forth between horror and other genres, giving some balance to their filmographies.

Sugar revealed that she would bring back the series if there is enough public demand. “I would really, really appreciate it if everyone who would be interested in something like that would make a ton of noise and make it really known -- because I would be thrilled to explore that. I think in this current media landscape, if there’s a huge amount of public demand, then that is something that becomes impossible to ignore. I love these characters and I love this world, and I would love to return to it. You don’t have to watch a minute of Kevin James’ new Netflix series, “The Crew,” to know exactly what the show is like. From showrunner Jeff Lowell (“The Ranch”), the workplace comedy stars James as Kevin, the bumbling crew chief of a middling Nascar racing team, whose job becomes a lot more complicated after the team’s owner retires and puts his millennial daughter Catherine (Jillian Mueller) in charge.
Like most of James’ characters, Kevin is a self-deprecating man-child who loves old-school values, cheap beer, and protecting the status quo, which makes having to listen to his progressive new boss a challenge. A Stanford grad who found success in Silicon Valley, Catherine has little in common with her new employees, but brings to the table several strategic, forward-thinking ideas for how the team could break out of their rut and become real contenders in racing. However, none of the...

Sparks are flying on Netflix’s The Crew — and not the kind you see on the Daytona International Speedway.
The first episode of Kevin James’ NASCAR-themed sitcom establishes the potential pairing of Kevin and his longtime coworker Beth, played by Billions‘ Sarah Stiles. The table-setting comes in the very last scene, when a recently dumped Kevin posits that he’ll never meet that special someone as long as he’s dedicated to his job. He then suggests the chances of finding someone who cares as much about the racing circuit are slim to none, at which point Beth chimes in:...

Kevin James Has a Losing Driver and a Demanding New Boss in Trailer for Netflix’s ‘The Crew’ (Video)
Kevin James seems like a pretty solid crew chief in his new NASCAR Netflix comedy series, “The Crew.” Unfortunately, everyone around him appears to be as hapless as can be.
But don’t take our word for it — watch the trailer above.
“The Crew” is set to debut on Monday, Feb. 15 on Netflix, the streaming service said on Friday. The timing follows the real-life Daytona 500 race on Sunday, Feb. 14.
“‘The Crew’ stars Kevin James as the leader of the fictional Bobby Spencer Racing team. When the team’s old-school owner, Bobby Spencer himself (Bruce McGill), steps down and passes the team off to his daughter Catherine (Jillian Mueller), James has to protect himself and his crew from her attempts to modernize the team.
Step 1 of Catherine’s plan: Replace the clearly very bad (or at least dumb and distracted) driver Jake, who is played by Freddie Stroma.

While the Drama Desk Awards nominate a slew of off-Broadway fare, the winners invariably come from Broadway. That was once again the case on Sunday when all but one of the 16 champs in the musical races were Broadway productions while it was 8 of 12 on the play side.

One of its main rivals for Best Musical at the Tony Awards is “Tootsie,” which claimed victories for Best Actor (Santino Fontana), Book, Music, and Lyrics. But it was another contender, “The Prom,” that swooped in and claimed Best Musical despite losing all of its other bids.

Tootsie is bringing audiences to their feet every night at the Marquis Theatre, and its partly because of the extraordinary talents of its Tony-nominated stars. Santino Fontana, Lilli Cooper, Sarah Stiles and Andy Grotelueschen have all earned nods for their hysterical performances in the 11-time Tony-nominated hit. All four of them have been a part of the production since it opened in Chicago last year, and as they all attest, life is still far from boring at Tootsie.

Exclusive: Isaac Keys has been promoted to series regular and Michaela Watkins (Casual) and Seychelle Gabriel (Sleepy Hollow) have been tapped for recurring roles on the upcoming third season of Epix’s Get Shorty, from MGM Television. Production is underway in Vancouver for premiere this fall on Epix.
Key has recurred as Ed since the first season of the series, starring Chris O’Dowd and Ray Romano, appearing in a total of 18 episodes. Ed is Amara’s (Lidia Porto) bodyguard and a top lieutenant in her gang. He’s intimidating and built like a linebacker, but is intelligent and has a quiet confidence and dignity about him. Ed may not seem important, but he is perhaps the person Amara trusts most.
Get Shorty is based in part on Elmore Leonard’s 1990 bestselling novel — which also spawned Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1995 feature — and created for television by Davey Holmes. The series follows Miles Daly (O’Dowd), muscle for a Nevada crime ring who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood with the help of a washed-up producer, Rick Moreweather (Romano), as a means to leave his criminal past behind.
In season two, Miles (O’Dowd) struggled to reconcile his ambitions as a filmmaker and a family man with his skill set as a career criminal. His progress in Hollywood is jeopardized when his washed-up producing partner Rick (Romano) agrees to wear a federal wire and begins a romantic relationship with dangerous crime boss Amara De Escalones (Porto).
Season three finds Miles embracing more ruthless methods as he settles scores in an attempt to continue climbing the Hollywood ladder.
Cast also includes series regulars Sean Bridgers, Carolyn Dodd, Goya Robles and Megan Stevenson. Steven Weber and Sarah Stiles are recurring guest stars.
Get Shorty season three is executive produced by Holmes and Adam Arkin. The series is produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM.
Keys is repped by Apa, Infinity Entertainment, and Ginsburg Daniels.

Last week, Tootsie joined Broadway’s million dollar club – the choice group of productions that break the $1 million mark in weekly box office. Along with 11 Tony Award nominations and a star-making turn by lead actor Santino Fontana, the musical adaptation of the 1982 film comedy starring Dustin Hoffman can, in retrospect, seem like a no-brainer, the type of Broadway success that complainers complain about when they gripe over Hollywood pedigrees.
But take a closer look at To Kill A Mockingbird, Network, Pretty Woman, Beetlejuice and Tootsie, and what jumps out are their differences, specifically their varying approaches to their source material. Mockingbird went meta, Network post-modern high tech. Pretty Woman could have benefited from less respect for its celluloid self, Beetlejuice from more.
Of the musicals, Tootsie found the sweetest balance between old and new, all the more surprising given what would seem, at first consideration, a storyline and worldview best left to the ’80s.
