Laura Bakker is a 28-year-old Amsterdam-based actress and three-time Golden Calf winner.
In addition, Laura won a Golden Calf in 2021 for her leading role in the TV film Heartbeats, directed by Vincent Tilanus. Since then, she has appeared in various productions, including Childhood Dreams (NPO), Dirty Lines (Netflix), Rundfunk - Duco & Roy (NPO), and Jackson and Malone (Videoland). She won two more Golden Calves in 2024 for the short film Marleen and the feature film This Is Not a Christmas Movie, directed by Michael Middelkoop, which will be released on Amazon Prime in December 2024.
In 2024, she will star in two TV movies: Wheelie, directed by Isis Mihrimah Cabolet, and Pinksterprins. She plays one of the leads in the NPO children's series Binnenvet and the lead role in the short film Marleen by Jop Leuven. In addition, she made her directorial debut with the short film EUR955,- EXCL., which will premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival.
Her most recent acting work is set to air in September 2024 in the NPO series This Is Gonna Be Great, a Dutch, Flemish, and German co-production set in Berlin.
During her final year at Drama School, she received the Top Naeff Prize, as well as the jury and audience awards at the Amsterdam Cabaret Festival as part of the cabaret duo n00b. After touring the Netherlands and Belgium for two years, n00b also won the Neerlands Hoop Prize, and the registration of their theatre show will air on Dutch television in 2024.
