4 best Netflix shows you might have missed in March 2025
Image
March is winding down, and Netflix has rolled out all of its new shows this month. After watching all of the new Netflix shows released this month, I shared a list of four shows that fans need to watch.

Netflix has even more good shows coming in April, so now, it's time to make sure you don't fall too far behind on all the great Netflix shows coming this spring.

Let's get list started with the show everyone's talking about, Adolescence!

Adolescence

There's no doubt Adolescence is the best new Netflix show of March! It's probably the best Netflix show of the year so far, and I don't think it's all that close, either. The series stars Owen Cooper as Jamie Miller, a teenager accused of brutally murdering his classmate, Katie. While the series isn't based on one real case, it's obviously influenced by several cases of violence against women and girls.

Survival of the Thickest season 2 premieres on Thursday, March 27, 2025 on Netflix, and just like season 1, the second season will bring fans another set of eight episodes. It's a long wait for only eight half-hour episodes that can be binge-watched in a single sitting, but at least we're getting any new episodes! Netflix will drop the full season at 12 a.m. Pt / 3 a.m. Et on March 27.

Because the episodes premiere so late on Netflix in the United States, it's...

Image
Michelle Buteau is back looking for messy love — this time in Rome and New York City — in the trailer for the second season of Survival of the Thickest, which dropped on Tuesday.

“If you liked Emily in Paris, you’re going to love Mavis in Rome,” Buteau’s lead character shouts at the top of her lungs from a hotel window overlooking the Italian city of romance.

The second season of the eight-episode, half-hour comedy will debut March 27 on Netflix.

I Am A Recovering Phone Addict, and Liza Treyger Speaks for Me
Image
“It is really wild to, like, think that people are gonna be watching this at home while also watching, like, videos on their phone of rugs getting power-washed,” says Liza Treyger early in her first hour-long stand-up special. Night Owl dropped on Netflix today, just weeks after a widely reblogged n+1 report on the platform deliberately structuring its programming to accommodate viewers who will have it on in the background as they look at their phones. This is bad news for such visually sumptuous, emotionally engaging Netflix titles as The Power of the Dog or One Hundred Years of Solitude, but Treyger cheerfully speaks directly to those members of her audience who don’t feel they need to keep their eyes trained, 100 percent of the time, on a woman talking while mostly standing still — members of her audience like Treyger herself, who goes on to describe having given herself...

Liza Treyger’s First Hour-Long Comedy Special ‘Night Owl’ Headed To Netflix
Image
Exclusive: Liza Treyger’s first hour-long stand-up special Night Owl is set to premiere globally on Netflix on January 28, sources tell Deadline.

Filmed in New York City, the special sees Treyger touch on her friends who are parents, hating other people’s husbands, and lying to herself about how high she really is. It comes on the heels of Glittercheese, a half-hour she taped for Comedy Central, as well as a half-hour she put together for Netflix stand-up collection The Degenerates. Brian Hoff and Laura Lucchetti served as producers.

Stated Treyger on Night Owl, “It’s my first hour and it’s huge to have it on Netflix. I’m so excited for people to watch it, it’s what I’ve always wanted.”

Known for biting jokes that dance around hot button topics including sexism and feminism — but also weed, animals, and The Real Housewives — Treyger recently wrapped filming...

‘Survival of the Thickest’ Review: Netflix Comedy Is a Breezy Pleasure Even if It Could Use More Bite
Image
When Mavis (Michelle Buteau) discovers her boyfriend of five years has been unfaithful, what stings almost as much as the betrayal is the narrative she imagines surrounding it. “If someone cheats on Halle Berry, they’re like, ‘Oh my God, how that man cheat on Halle Berry?'” she laments. “But if someone cheats on someone like me, a thick girl with problem areas? They’re like, ‘Oh yeah, I get it.'”

And though her best friend, Khalil (Tone Bell), gently pushes back on that “silly-ass narrative,” Mavis isn’t entirely wrong: Plus-sized women, and indeed all those who fall outside the straight-cis-white-skinny box, do tend to go ignored or sidelined or disrespected in love stories. Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest is a welcome and too-rare exception — a comedy that puts Mavis front and center as a worthy heroine, with mostly enjoyable results.

The infidelity, Mavis soon realizes,...

Hannah Simone
Hannah Simone’s ABC Pilot Casts Art Malik in Lead Role (Exclusive)
Hannah Simone
Hannah Simone’s comedy pilot at ABC has cast one of its lead roles.

Variety has learned exclusively that Art Malik has signed on to star opposite Simone in the single-camera comedy. In the project, Hannah (Simone) and her Indian-American immigrant father Sid (Malik) have always been close, but after she admits to herself that she’s in a dead-end job and he reveals his marriage is over, they’re starting over together and each finding a new path. This new chapter will either make them crazy close or just crazy.

Sid is further described as newly retired and a once-adventurous man who has fallen into a routine. But he is still enthusiastic and gung-ho for all things American and fond of Western wear. The Mad Flavor Of Comedian Joey Diaz
After telling a coworker that my fiancé and I have a podcast called Coffee & Conspiracy, he recommended that I check out the Joe Rogan Podcast and so I did. I’m glad I did check out Joe Rogan’s podcast, because it made me aware of a great comedian and storyteller named Joey Diaz.

I started watching all the Joey Diaz’s clips on YouTube that I could find and checking out his podcast called The Church of What’s Happening Now. If you want some inspiration and motivation in your life, and a laugh I recommend that you check them out. I think we need more inspiration and motivation in this crazy world we live in now. For me personally listening to Joey Diaz makes me want to work harder at things that I want to do in my life.

If you have Netflix be sure to check out Joey Diaz’s standup.
