Colin MacDougall(I)
- Actor
Colin MacDougall was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and is the second youngest of four siblings; Neil, Heather, and Gordon. His mother is Ruth MacDougall (a retired nurse and owner of her own cake company, Campsie Cakes) and his father is Robert MacDougall (ex-police officer, pastor, and more recently a personal carer).
After leaving school at 18, Colin worked as a lifeguard for nearly 2 years before moving to Fiji where he spent a year as a volunteer doing marine conservation. In 2013 Colin entered the Lynx/Axe Apollo space competition where he made it to the semi-finals in London. It was here that he met Casey Michaels, a third-generation professional stunt artist. After breaking his wrist at the competition he spent his recovery time talking with Casey who re-inspired his childhood passion for acting/performing.
Since then he has worked to gain as much knowledge and experience in all aspects of filmmaking with a vision of creating films as well as acting.
Not sure where to start, he spent a year doing private acting training at Acting Coach Scotland as well as learning screen combat with Dramatic Combat Scotland and Hybrid fight academy. At the same time, he started working on student and independent productions in Scotland to start honing his craft and making connections in the industry.
Driven by the desire to create, Colin started up his own small production company, Iron Key Productions, and has spent the last few years working in partnership with other productions as he seeks to grow and develop his company as a production house for films based out of Scotland.
