Image
Stranger Things is coming to an end with its upcoming season on Netflix, and Ross Duffer is teasing the first two episodes.

In a new post on social media, one-half of the Duffer Brothers series creators teased that the post-production process on the first two episodes of the sci-fi series’ final season had been completed.

“Chapters One and Two: locked, mixed, scored, colored, Done,” read the caption on Instagram.

Duffer included photos of the episode titles with Chapter One being titled “The Crawl” and Chapter Two being titled “The Vanishing of…,” with the name of the character excluded to prevent spoilers.

The series creator said that “The Crawl” is their favorite episode as it is “the most eventful episode since Season 1.”

Larry Fessenden's Trauma Or, Monsters All Wraps Principal Photography, Enters Post
Image
American horror auteur, Larry Fessenden, has wrapped principal photography on their next horror flick, Trauma Or, Monsters All. The film is a direct sequel to three of their previous films: Habit, Depraved and Blackout. Universal Pictures’ back-to-back hits House Of Frankenstein (1944) and House Of Dracula (1945) famously grouped together Frankenstein’s Monster, Count Dracula, and The Wolf Man, allowing audiences to experience the studio’s most iconic monsters sharing the screen for the very first time. 80 years later, Larry Fessenden’S Trauma Or, Monsters All places the filmmaker’s beloved visions of this trio of ghouls under one roof, offering up an unexpectedly humanist and uncanny tale. Fessenden will reprise his role as the vampire Sam from Habit. Alex Breaux will return as Adam from...

‘Trauma’ – Larry Fessenden Wraps Secret Monster Mashup Sequel to ‘Habit,’ ‘Depraved,’ and ‘Blackout’
Larry Fessenden
Indie horror master Larry Fessenden has secretly shot Trauma, a monster mashup sequel that unites three of Fessenden’s monsters in one film, Variety reports today.

Larry Fessenden’s Trauma Or, Monsters All serves as a sequel to three monster movies that he’s written and directed: 1995’s vampire movie Habit, the 2019 Frankenstein riff Depraved, and his 2023 werewolf feature Blackout.

When we previously spoke with the filmmaker about the latter, he shared his desire to see how all three monsters would fare in one monster mashup feature. “No, what I’m more interested in, I could just say this, is doing a mashup, and that would probably end my business of recreating the Universal Monsters. I want to see them all together, and what would that look like? So, that’s actually what I’m thinking about, and I don’t know who would finance that.”

With the upcoming Trauma,...

Larry Fessenden Wraps Shoot on ‘Trauma’; Secret Monster Movie Is a Sequel to ‘Habit,’ ‘Depraved’ and ‘Blackout’ (Exclusive)
Image
Indie film icon Larry Fessenden is planning a monster mash — and it’s gearing up to be a graveyard smash.

The horror multi-hyphenate has just wrapped filming of his upcoming film — “Larry Fessenden’s Trauma Or, Monsters All” — and is heading into post-production, Variety can report exclusively. The film serves as a sequel to three other films he has written and directed: 1995’s vampire tale “Habit,” his 2019 “Frankenstein” riff “Depraved” and 2023 werewolf film “Blackout.”

“It was a slightly absurd mission to present my existential take on these monsters in a contemporary mash-up, but I enjoyed the challenge and I hope the film will feel both familiar and provocative,” Fessenden said in a statement, which also shared that he is “a lifelong fan of Universal Monster classics and the powerful messages about us that they can convey.”

The shoot quietly took place on and off in upstate New York during a three-month stretch.

'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Trailer Teases the Netflix Prequel's Broadway Debut
Image
As the Netflix sci-fi fantasy horror giant Stranger Thingsapproaches its conclusion, fans are eagerly anticipating what will surely be an epic finale. The show officially ends with a three-part release at the end of 2025, but in the meantime, you can get your Stranger Things fix in another format. The stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow, which works as a spin-off prequel to the events in the TV series, is currently playing on Broadway, and judging by the trailer, it is well worth the price of admission.

As reported by Fangoria, the play is set in 1959, decades before the events of the show, as the Creel family moves to Hawkins, and young Henry starts showing the early signs of an eventual transformation. As revealed in the Netflix series, Henry Creel is the human who becomes the monstrous Vecna, transforming into something terrifyingly otherworldly after living for decades in the Upside Down.

‘Stranger Things 5’ Co-Creator and Showrunner Debunks Episode Length Rumors
Image
The first official teaser trailer for “Stranger Things 5” arrived last week, followed soon after by social media rumors that the final season would run a tidy but daunting 19 hours long.

Don’t worry; series co-creator and showrunner Ross Duffer has officially debunked the “leaked” episode runtimes as false.

While it was highly circulated on social media that each of the final eight episodes would be feature-length, with many clocking in at two and a half hours or more, Ross Duffer shot those claims down via Instagram stories, stating that the rumored episode durations are “not even close to accurate.”

Of course, “Stranger Things” has featured robust runtimes before. The fourth season’s finale ran two hours and nineteen minutes, which only added plausibility to the circulating rumors. Especially as Duffer previously teased, “So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.

David Harbour Welcomes the End as ‘Stranger Things’ Sets Holiday Farewell
David Harbour
David Harbour says a decade in uniform as Jim Hopper has left him “ready to move on,” admitting that by season five he is “playing a lot of the same beat.” In the same Interview Magazine chat, the actor told Scarlett Johansson, “You get to a certain point where you’re like, ‘How much more story is there?’ … I want to do something people haven’t seen me do before.”

Netflix underscored that finality at last week’s live Tudum event in Los Angeles, revealing the eight-episode farewell will stream in three parts on 26 November, 25 December and 31 December 2025. Showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer insist the timetable is safe: post-production is “actually ahead of schedule,” they said at February’s Scad TVfest, adding that the series is “definitely on target” for this year.

The brothers liken the season to “eight blockbuster movies” yet also their “most personal story,” having compiled some...

‘Stranger Things’ Confirms Final Season Premiere with Three-Part Release
Image
Netflix has confirmed that Stranger Things will return for its final season on 26 November, launching Volume 1 of Season 5. Volume 2 will arrive on Christmas Day, with the series concluding on 1 January 2026. The staggered rollout will mark the end of a cultural phenomenon that began in 2016 and helped define the platform’s global success.

The fifth and final season has been in post-production since filming wrapped in December, with visual effects now underway. While Netflix has not detailed the reasons behind the three-volume format, the model mirrors the release strategy used for Season 4, which premiered in two parts. Volume titles and structural details were previously disclosed, confirming an eight-episode season featuring instalments such as The Crawl, Shock Jock, and The Vanishing of _____, the latter still keeping fans guessing as to who or what disappears.

Season 5 will pick up in autumn 1987, placing the timeline roughly 18 months after the events of Season 4. Hawkins remains...

‘Stranger Things’: Netflix Reveals Premiere Date For Season 5, Split Into Three Volumes
Image
It’s almost time to venture into the Upside Down one final time with the kids from Hawkins, Indiana.

Season five of Stranger Things will debut on Netflix on November 26, the streamer revealed at its Tudum fan event in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The season will be split into three volumes. Season 4 was split into two volumes. The eight-part season 5 will be split into three parts, with the second part launching at Christmas 2025 and the finale launching on New Year’s Eve.

Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria refused to discuss the split volume approach earlier this year, particularly as some fans were upset about the practice, but did leave the door open for more split seasons.

The trailer was announced by stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schanpp and Caleb McLaughlin, while Millie Bobby Brown couldn’t be there because she’s filming an Enola Holmes film in London

New 'Stranger Things' Season 5 Report Reveals Potential Release Schedule
Image
It seems like Stranger Things is quickly becoming the GTA 6 of the streaming world, as a leaked report has supposedly revealed that Netflix is now considering releasing the fifth and final season in three parts, meaning we might not see the grand finale until 2026. Debuting all the way back in 2016, fans have been waiting forever for the final chapter in the epic saga to make its way to the streaming service, and while Netflix has yet to confirm the release schedule for Stranger Things Season 5, this new rumor is certainly disheartening.

First revealed by industry insider @MyTimeToShineH on X, it appears as if Netflix is looking to possibly release Stranger Things Season 5 in three parts instead of two to accommodate the final season's increased runtime. We already know that each episode is said to feel like its own feature film that will send the series out with a bang, so...

Why ‘Stranger Things’ Actor Eduardo Franco Won’t Return for Season 5?
Image
Something feels off as we count down to the final season of Stranger Things, and fans have noticed it, too. Among the returning cast, one familiar face is nowhere to be seen. Eduardo Franco, who played Argyle, hasn’t popped up in any updates. The set photos are out, and production is moving full speed ahead, but Argyle’s signature long hair and chill vibe are noticeably missing.

Season 5 is shaping up to be the biggest chapter yet. With Vecna still a looming threat and Hawkins more unstable than ever, fans are expecting emotional goodbyes, epic battles, and plenty of surprises. But for those who loved the easygoing Surfer Boy Pizza guy from Season 4, something is clearly missing from the final adventure.
