In October 2011, Jay Wes directed a 'Stop the Violence' event and its music video for the song "Enough Is Enough" in Cumberland County NJ. The event was attended by 1500 + people and the county adopted the song as the 'Stop the Violence' theme song for Cumberland County.

He was nominated for 'Music Video of the Year' and 'Best Director' at the Philadelphia Hip Hop Awards in 2012. In May 2013, he changed his brand from "Jay Wes Vids" to "Jay Wes Films". In September 2013 Jay Wes wrote and directed his third movie "Inhabitants" which is currently in production.
