Simon Cowell took to social media on May 11 and shared some photos of his son, Eric. That rarely happens, and fans of America’s Got Talent (AGT) last saw a reel of him with Eric in the pool in December last year. Before that, they saw him on the set with his dad in April 2024.

When the Instagram post arrived of Simon out and about with Eric, the 11-year-old son of Lauren Silverman, looked so much like his dad that AGT fans were shocked. Simon posted three pictures. One of them showed him standing next to his boy, which revealed how big he’s getting.

“America’s Got Talent” will air its first two live shows this week without Simon Cowell at the judges’ table as he recovers from emergency back surgery, NBC announced Sunday.

Cowell underwent five-hour surgery on Saturday evening after suffering a serious injury while testing his new electric bike outside his Malibu, California, home. His representatives say that the operation was successful and he is in the hospital recovering from surgery involving “a number of fusions and metal rod put into his back.”

In a new interview with The Sun, the 58-year-old America's Got Talent judge reveals he fainted and tumbled due to low blood sugar.

"I'd gone to get some hot milk because I felt ropey," he recalls. "On the way back upstairs, I just remember feeling really dizzy. Next thing I know, someone was putting a neck brace on me and I had a terrible headache, which must have been from me hitting the stairs. I was worried at first that I’d done some real damage."

"But I'm on the mend now," he continues. "I know I was very lucky I didn't hurt myself seriously. It could have been a lot worse. I must say, everyone at the hospital was incredible. I'm truly grateful."

The X-Factor and America’s Got Talent judge was taken out of his London home in a stretcher and transported by ambulance, a source close to Cowell tells Et.

“It’s been a scary morning,” the source says. “It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he was not feeling well and was dizzy.”

“As he was going back up the stairs he fainted and fell backwards,” the source explains. “An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace.”
