Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Concept Art Reveals Early Alternate Designs For Adam Warlock
Image
Will Poulter made his debut in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as an initially ruthless and somewhat childlike take on Adam Warlock, who causes the team a lot of trouble before ultimately seeing the error of his ways and saving Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) towards the end of the movie.

In one of the post-credits scenes, we see that Warlock has officially become a member of the new Guardians along with Rocket, Groot, Kraglin, Cosmo, Phyla and Blurp.

Concept artist Constantine Sekeris has now unveiled some of his early designs for Warlock, and it seems quite a few alternate looks were considered for the character.

"Hello,All…….been a min since last posted anything….taking a break from the wolfman sketches and posting some very early Adam Warlock designs for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 working at Marvel studios in Vis Dev lead by Andy Park…...

Superman Director James Gunn On Recent Chris Pratt Dcu Rumor: "We Talk About That All The Time"
Image
James Gunn has responded to yesterday's rumor that Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt might be in line for a role in the Dcu.

The DC Studios co-ceo was asked if Pratt was in negotiations for a part in the rebooted franchise, and confirmed that he speaks to his friend about it "all the time."

This shouldn't be taken as confirmation that Pratt is officially in talks for any specific character, but it seems clear that some ideas have been tossed around at the very least.

Pratt was asked about the possibility of joining the new DC Universe in a recent interview.

"Well, there’s always a chance," he told TMZ. "But of course, I wouldn’t be able to spoil it here on the sidewalk with you. I could, but I better not. Man, I just have to leave that to the fans and people like James to decide.

According to Mttsh, Pratt has spoken to Gunn about an undisclosed role, but we're not sure if he has actually entered talks.

Pratt was asked about the possibility of joining the rebooted DC Universe in a recent interview.

Rohit Bose Roy: 'Voicing Chris Pratt's Peter Quill was fun because his character is similar to what I am in real life'
Image
Mumbai, Aug 23 (Ians) Actor Rohit Bose Roy, who has voiced Peter Quill in all the three Hindi versions of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise, said that he enjoyed voicing Chris Pratt’s character of Peter Quill as his character is similar to what he is in real life.

Rohit said: “Voicing Chris Pratt in the role of Peter Quill or Star-Lord was so much fun because his character is similar to what I am in real life- fun, engaging and a little cocky. I remember the first time I dubbed for Peter Quill, they were so excited about my voice on Chris Pratt’s face that I became his unofficial voice across India.

“Working in this industry is something that makes me happy, and the fact that the film is a part of the epic Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy franchise only adds to my happiness.”

James Gunn feels close to Rocket in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'
Image
Mumbai, Aug 3 (Ians) James Gunn, the director and writer of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3’, has shared that he feels really close to the character of Rocket in the film.

In the new film, Rocket Raccoon’s turbulent past catches up as the movie presents a visual and emotional roller coaster.

Sharing how Rocket takes centre stage in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3’, James Gunn said: “The central character, in a way, is Rocket, and Rocket’s the one I feel close to,” he explains. “The first film is the story of the mother, the second film is the story of the father, and this film is the story of the self, so it’s innately more intimate because of that.”

Elaborating about the character of Rocket, he said: “This is a little animal who was taken and turned into something he shouldn’t be and felt completely...

James Gunn elaborates on tonal shifts in his ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ trilogy
Image
Mumbai, July 26 (Ians) Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ragtag band of misfits has now completed their pursuit with ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ bringing an end to the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ or ‘Gotg’ trilogy. Director James Gunn said that one of the most critical points for him was that the films be tonally fluid as he did not want the humour to undercut the many dark and serious moments in the movies.

Sharing his vision behind the trilogy, James Gunn said, “The first film is the story of the mother, the second film is the story of the father, and this film is the story of the self, so it’s innately more intimate because of that.”

The trilogy is noted for their mix of comedy, action, character development as well as emotional depth and storytelling.

Talking about how emotional weight and comedy go side-by-side in ‘Gotg Vol. 3’, the director said,...

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ First Reactions Range From ‘Easily the Best’ to ‘Strangely Uneven’
Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and Maria Bakalova in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” held preview screenings and had its Hollywood premiere on Thursday, and that means the reactions are pouring in.

And it’s a given that so far, those who saw it tonight mostly loved it. Attendees in screenings on the east coast or in the central time zones got out first — as we write this, the Hollywood premiere screening is currently about halfway through — so we’ll start with them.

Film critic Bob Chipman calls it “easily the best of the trilogy and a top 5 Marvel Movie,” and he also posits that director James Gunn’s new bosses at Warner. Bros. have to be happy with that decision after seeing this.

Writer Mike Ryan said Gunn “bet the house” on the film, “and won,” and praised how it exists as a sci-fi action film as opposed to another Super Hero joint.

But there was some rumblings of dissent.

‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ Embraces Diversity: ‘We Were All Really Conscious of It’
Misty Copeland
Misty Copeland made history as the American Ballet Theater’s first African-American principal dancer, and now she’s bringing her legacy to the big screen in the new holiday film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.”

“[‘The Nutcracker’] is the perfect platform for people to be able to step into a movie theater and learn about ballet and maybe see it for the first time,” Copeland told Variety at Monday’s premiere at the Dolby Theater ballroom in Hollywood. “And the fact that it’s a black ballerina in this film is even crazier; this next generation will be able to see me up there and think that’s normal, that’s what a ballerina looks like, and that’s progress.”

Copeland plays the central dancer of the film’s first ballet sequence, which tells the story of how the four realms in the movie were discovered via dance. Watching...
