WWE Raw 14th July Results: Roman Reigns Returns, Rhea Ripley Gets Another Title Shot and More
Image
WWE Raw just wrapped up, and wow, there’s a lot to unpack. If you’ve been following Triple H’s playbook lately, you already know he loves throwing in major twists after big events. And with Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution 2 shaking things up, it was clear something big was coming.

Raw kicked off what’s sure to be an electric build to SummerSlam, and you could tell WWE’s already connecting the dots between all the feuds and stories that exploded over the weekend.

Naomi stole the spotlight by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase during the Evolution main event between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. That bold move crowned her the new Women’s World Champion, but obviously, it didn’t sit well with the other two. Naomi came out to celebrate on Raw, only for Iyo Sky and Rhea to crash the...

‘WWE Smackdown’ Review (Jul 11th 2025)
Image
Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Fatal 4-Way Match – Alexa Bliss def. Roxanne Perez, Kairi Sane and Sol Ruca The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The twisted Alexa Bliss picked up a huge victory before Evolution as she defeated Roxanne Perez, Kairi Sane and Nxt North American Champion Sol Ruca in Fatal 4-Way action. The Nxt standout shined early on, using her athleticism to stun her opponents, even hitting a double Sol Snatcher on Sane and Perez. Raquel Rodriguez saved her partner but it sparked a fight on the outside that left Charlotte as the only Superstar left standing. Inside the ring, Bliss countered the Insane Elbow and hit her Sister Abigail Ddt to win the match.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: WWE Tag Team Championship – The Wyatt Sicks def.

WWE Evolution Winners and Losers: Trish Stratus and Rhea Ripley Face Disappointing Losses
Image
WWE Evolution just wrapped up, and wow, the stakes seriously couldn’t have been higher for the women’s division. The biggest names in the game, Rhea Ripley, Bayley, Trish Stratus, and Becky Lynch, went head-to-head in a night packed with fierce battles for glory and pride.

We got some absolute fire matches, the kind that remind you how far the women’s division has come. Huge props to Triple H for this transformation; he’s taken the division from being sidelined and treated like filler to giving it proper stories, rivalries, and even whole events. It’s no longer an afterthought; it’s a full-blown attraction that fans genuinely care about.

Sure, Triple H’s decisions have had their share of backlash, and some people felt the event was rushed or lacked build-up, but in the end, Evolution delivered. It hit hard, and honestly? It was a total banger.

Was Liv Morgan’s Injury Kairi Sane’s Fault, Explained: After Zoey Stark, Kairi Sane Faces Another Devastating Setback
Image
In the brutal world of pro-wrestling, injuries are a part and parcel of the sport. No matter how much safety is practised, with those massive moonsaults, heavy landings, gravity-defying leaps, and a flurry of moves that would push one to their limits, one can never write an injury off. In such a similar and tragic development, it was Liv Morgan who found herself at the receiving end of the stick after being in a match-up with Kairi Sane.

In recent times, WWE has seen quite a few injuries impacting a handful of its heavy-hitters. One of the biggest names who had to be pulled off the shelves just ahead of WrestleMania 41, was Kevin Owens. A painful neck injury sidelined him, compelling Randy Orton to fight an unknown entity which was eventually revealed to be Joe Hendry at the last moment.

Rhea Ripley Publicly Hanging Out With Liv Morgan in Swimsuits Would’ve Never Happened Under Vince McMahon

WWE has been seeing some of the most compelling rivalries for decades. Whether it was Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, The Rock vs Steve Austin, or John Cena and Randy Orton squaring off, these top-tier feuds have captivated the audience like no other. However, back in the day, kayfabe was heavily maintained both on and off-screen by these superstars.

The formula adopted by former WWE Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, made professional wrestling sensational among the fanbase. However, in the modern era, Triple H’s regime has completely ruined that concept, and a prime example has been how the on-screen rivalry between the women’s division stars, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, completely flipped off-screen.

WWE's Bianca Belair Talks Becoming a Superstar, Wrestlemania, and Today's Era of Women's Wrestling

Bianca Belair’s first WrestleMania victory came on April 10, 2021 — and she hasn’t looked back since. History For Black WWE Star at WrestleMania 41: Naomi vs Jade Cargill is More Important Than You Realize

WrestleMania has been all about the major beefs that have been riling up among the WWE superstars throughout the year. This has been majorly male-centric. The WWE has taken a positive approach towards female wrestling as they are ready to showcase a non-title match in WrestleMania 41.

WrestleMania events had fewer female fights throughout these years, however, the last decade was an improvement in women’s wrestling, and this has come to fruition as we will see a non-title women’s match at WrestleMania 41.

Why Did Paige Quit WWE- Saraya’s Neck Injury, Controversy and Aew Move Explained
Image
Saraya-Jade Bevis, better known as Paige/Saraya, has been wrestling for almost two decades. Born into a wrestling family, Saraya debuted at the age of 13. Her family was considered “crazy,” and they were. Saraya’s mother was a wrestler, and her father was a wrestling promoter.

They were accused of abusing trainees in their academy, among other things. A documentary on them called Wrestlers: Fighting with my Family was also released. Despite all of that craziness, Saraya rose in the industry rapidly.

She signed with WWE at 18 and became part of a budding women’s division at Nxt. As Paige, she was the first-ever Nxt Women’s Champion. Then, on her main roster debut, she won the now-defunct Divas Title. Post her 2014-15 run, where she won 2 titles and became the head of her faction (Pcb), she couldn’t sustain her momentum. Injuries and suspensions slowed her down.

Image
Welcome to this review of WWE Crown Jewel 2024, right here on Nerdly… The controversy over this event seems to die down with each and every event passing and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, let’s see what happened during this year’s show, which was marked by the champ versus champ matches for the newly-minted Crown Jewel belts!

Match #1: The Bloodline def. Roman Reigns and The Usos The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Solo Sikoa earned the biggest pinfall of his career by earning the three-count over Roman Reigns and anointing himself as the one true Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. The Usos kicked things off by bringing back their signature tandem offense, but it wasn’t long before The Samoan Werewolf brought the fight back to them, leading to a tense standoff. With The Og Bloodline in firm control, Jey rebuffed the...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…

Match #1: Damage Ctrl vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (No Contest) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Former Nxt Women’s Champions Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane returned to Nxt for a tag team match against The Meta-Four’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, but they left with even more enemies. Sky and Sane’s quickness was met with sheer power from Lash Legend who at one point dribbled their heads like basketballs on the middle rope. With the action going back and forth inside the ring, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green and Piper Niven crashed the scene and forced a No Contest by laying out all four Superstars.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Jaida Parker def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.

Despite the repeated abuse from Kaiser, Zayn hit the Helluva Kick to gain the impressive win. After the match, Gunther once again refused to defend the World Heavyweight Title against Zayn.

‘WWE Raw’ Review (Sep 16th 2024)

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Pete Dunne def. Sheamus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Despite receiving loud jeers from the WWE Universe, an enraged Pete Dunne looked to take down his former mentor Sheamus. The chants seemed to distract Dunne as The Celtic Warrior dodged a hand crusher to perform an Alabama slam directly onto the announce table. Dunne withstood a monumental amount of punishment from The Celtic Warrior but kept fighting. After being brutalized with the 10 Beats of the Bodhran, Dunne went for the Shillelagh, but Sheamus wrenched it from Dunne’s hands. With the referee preoccupied with taking away the weapon from Sheamus, Dunne used a cricket bat to wallop Sheamus. Dunne then hit a huge knee strike to earn the big-time win.

7 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's WWE Monday Night Raw
Image
Monday Night Raw was on incredible form as the WWE took to Portland, Or, to continue the road to Bad Blood. Cm Punk opened the show with an intimidating promo aimed at an absent Drew McIntyre, Pete Dunne would score an enormous win over Sheamus, and tension has reached an all-time high in The New Day with a break-up seeming imminent.

Jey Uso and Bron Breakker will headline next week's Raw and hyped their Intercontinental Title match with an incredible confrontation. Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman tore each other and the building apart (literally), Damien Priest would beat Dominic Mysterio in the night's Main Event, but The Judgment Day would then make Priest and his Terror Twin, Rhea Ripley, pay with an epic beatdown to close the show.

Winners Jey Uso and Bron Breakker Two fan favorites make Portland go crazy

The Portland crowd proved to be a red-hot audience all night long,...

Otis hit the Caterpillar and a cannonball but it was not enough to put down The Creed Brothers. Brutus Creed took Otis out with the Brutus Bomb as Julius Creed knocked out Tozawa at ringside. This left Dupri and Nile inside the ring to duke it out. Just as Dupri was about to hit the reverse Caterpillar,...
