Horror B-Movie 'Gator Lake' Full Trailer About a Bloodthirsty Alligator
Image
"One lake. One gator. Zero mercy." Brainstorm Media has revealed the official trailer for a horror B-movie called Gator Lake, apparently inspired by a true story of events in 2003 at a real lake in Florida. This first premiered last year under the original title Lake Jesup, and it was also given the full title Lake Jesup: Bonecrusher's Revenge. Not the first vicious alligator movie - there was Crawl a few years ago, and the original Lake Placid as well, time for another one. Florida's Lake Jesup is the most densely infested alligator lake in the entire United States - known by locals as "the place to take your mother-in-law to water ski." This is the story of 13 hellish days on the lake in 2003. Desperate to end the slaughter, Florida authorities made the only logical choice they could: they went to Bubba Coggins, a beer-guzzling, refrigerator-sized ex-con & professional gator wrangler with...

Who Is 'Terrifier 2's Little Pale Girl and Her Motivations, Explained
Image
One of the biggest box-office surprises of the Halloween 2024 season, Terrifier 3 slashed its competitors by turning a modest $2 million budget into a lucrative $90 million international moneymaker (via The Numbers). Several ACM Theaters played the film as a double feature with Terrifier 2, the beloved 2022 sequel that introduced audiences to The Little Pale Girl (Amelie McLain).

While assuming a different form in Terrifier 3, understanding who The Little Pale Girl is, where she came from, and what caused her murderous motivations requires returning to the original franchise entry released in 2018. With the franchise's overriding antagonist sure to return for an inevitable fourth Terrifier film, here's why The Little Pale Girl continues to have such a significant role in Art the Clown's vicious rampage.

Ultra-Gory Horror Sequel With 87% Rotten Tomatoes Score Becomes Streaming Hit
Image
Terrifier 2 has become a major streaming hit as Terrifier 3 continues to dominate in theaters. Released in 2022, Art the Clown's (David Howard Thornton) second major outing is again directed by Damien Leone and serves as a follow-up to his microbudget hit from 2016. Terrifier 2 reviews were generally positive from critics, and the sequel, which sports an 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes, was widely praised for its gruesome moments of extreme gore.

New data from Reelgood now reveals that Terrifier 2 ranks as the sixth most popular movie on streaming in the U.S. for the week of October 10 16. Art the Clown actually dominates two spots on this top 10 list, with Terrifier (2016) serving as the fifth most popular movie on streaming and the tenth most popular title overall. While the sequel is available to watch for free on Freevee, the original is streaming on Prime Video.

Clown Cafe Scene & Terrifier 2 Ending Explained
Image
Terrifier 2 is filled with bizarre and horrifying imagery, from a clown cafe filled with doomed dancers to a terrifying haunted house at a carnival. The gore, terror, and brutality don't stop even after the ending and the credits role. A long-awaited sequel to the 2016 low-budget and cult hit slasher, Terrifier, 2022's Terrifier 2 sees the return of director Damien Leone and the murderous, psychopathic, and wholly original Art the Clown, once again played silently by David Howard Thornton. Terrifier 2 ups the carnage, effects, and story of the original movie without losing its grindhouse core.

The Terrifier franchise is not for the faint of heart, and the violence and gore in the movie is enough to make one sick. Unlike the first film, Terrifier 2 is more than just the sum of its gory kills by Art the Clown, with an engaging story and real characters to care about.

Terrifier 2's Bloodiest Kills, Ranked
Image
Damien Leone's grindhouse epic Terrifier 2 was an unexpected box-office smash. The film is on par with other iconic horror franchises like Halloween and Scream, thanks to effusive word-of-mouth from horror fanatics and a surprisingly positive reception from critics. Upping the ante on its predecessor, Terrifier 2 delivers some of the most eye-popping violence and gore to grace the silver screen, maybe ever.

Iconic villain Art the Clown has proven to be one of the most unrelentingly brutal horror villains ever. Terrifier 2 puts the deadly mime's predilection for barbarity on full display. But which of Art's dastardly displays of inhumanity is the worst? Does anyone in the grease-painted ghoul's path make it out unscathed? Grab those tiny top hats and get ready to count down Terrifier 2's most gruesome kills, from the tamest to the most terrifying.

Where To Watch Every Terrifier Movie
Image
Horror fans can stream, rent, or buy Damian Leone's sinister Terrifier movies on multiple platforms. The independent director debuted with All Hallow's Eve, an original horror anthology, in 2013. Art the Clown is silently portrayed by actor David Howard Thornton, and other notable stars of the franchise include Lauren Lavera, Elliot Fullam, Sarah Voigt, Jenna Kanell, and Samantha Scaffidi. Each movie was written and directed by Damien Leone, with Terrifier 2 being particularly successful. With a $250,000 budget, the movie impressively made over $15 million globally, as its brutal gore and terrifying violence reeled in endless publicity. How Terrifier 2 Director Damien Leone Made His Real Life Into A Horror Movie
Image
"Terrifier 2" might have been a surprise hit in 2022, proving too brutal for even some seasoned horror fans. But you'd never have expected such success based on the original movie. Released in 2016, "Terrifier" took director Damien Leone's psychotic slasher Art the Clown, previously the star of several short films, and built a whole movie around his gory exploits. Sadly, the result was less than impressive. As /Film's Chris Evangelista put it in his "Terrifier 2" review:

"The first "Terrifier" is what I'd call 'crap' [...] While I freely admit the film is loaded with some incredibly practical gore, the movie itself is little more than a plotless, storyless, valueless excuse to showcase that gore and not much else."

Luckily, Leone stepped up his game for "Terrifier 2," as evidenced by the much improved critical response, the $15 million it made on a $250,000 budget, and the fact we'll soon be getting the highly-anticipated "Terrifier 3.

Peacock has debuted the official trailer for an original romantic comedy film titled If You Were the Last, directed by Kristian Mercado from a script by Angela Bourassa. Terrifier 2 Video Game Could Be Happening Soon, According To Director
Image
Damien Leone, the director of the recently released slasher film Terrifier 2, has expressed interest in a video game based on the gristly horror flick. The movie follows Art the Clown, a demonic entity who appears on Halloween night to wreak bloody havoc on a town and its residents. Terrifier 2 has proven divisive thanks to its incredibly graphic kills, and the gruesome experience may soon get a terrifying interactive adaptation.

During a recent interview with GamingBible, director Damien Leone expressed enthusiasm for a Terrifier 2 video game in the style of the Friday the 13th game released back in 2017. Leone explains that he has already been contacted by a video game company interested in adapting the horrifying film, and he is apparently very invested in the idea. Leone imagines an asymmetrical horror game in the style of Friday the 13th: The Game, with players either controlling Art the Clown...

Terrifier 2 Can't Be Stopped As Horror Movie Expands to More Theaters
Image
Terrifier 2 has continued its astonishing box office success story by expanding into even more theaters on Halloween weekend. The film, which features the serial killer Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) tormenting a small town a year after his previous rampage, is a sequel to 2016's Terrifier, a 100,000 film that only ever got a limited theatrical release before finding a home on DVD. This new entry pits Art against teenager Sienna Shaw (Lauren Lavera) and her little brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam), with a cast that also includes Sarah Voigt, Chris Jericho, and Sleepaway Camp star Felissa Rose.

Terrifier 2 has become the story of the little film that could, drawing a huge return off its budget of 250,000. It originally opened in only 770 theaters and made 850,000 in its opening weekend, but the film has been drawing in more and more curious horror fans off the back of its reputation as...

Terrifier 2 Ending Explained: Food's A Little Funny At The Clown Cafe
Image
This article contains major spoilers for "Terrifier 2."

When you reflect on the slasher villains we accept as mascots of the genre, it's fascinating to see how far the sinister Art the Clown has come from his indie roots. The pantomime slasher initially started out as a creepy idea in director Damien Leone's 2008 short film "The 9th Circle," and has since become the kind of headline sensation that would make William Castle smile. From anthology antagonist ("All Hallows' Eve") to the star of his own film series, it's safe to say that Art's reign of terror is far from over.

It's pretty astounding how Leone manages to capture the sickening grime of grindhouse horror, where the violence is pushed to an extreme degree. It walks the line between being horrifically gruesome and absurdly funny. Once Art the Clown gets going, he becomes a relentless monster, unlike anything you've ever seen.

Frightfest 2022: ‘Terrifier 2’ Review
Image
Stars: Lauren Lavera, Elliot Fullam, Sarah Voigt, Kailey Hyman, Casey Harnett, David Howard Thornton, Samantha Scaffidi | Written and Directed by Damien Leone

Murderous mime Art the Clown returns in this 140-minute sequel to writer-director-producer Damien Leone’s 2016 horror Terrifier. Shot through with black humour and positively dripping with gore, this is an entertainingly gruesome sequel that’s sure to increase Art’s already substantial fanbase.

Other than a brief appearance by Samantha Scaffidi (who played the lead in the original film), Terrifier 2 is more or less a stand-alone affair, so don’t worry too much if you haven’t already seen Terrifier. Those who have had the pleasure of the first film will have some idea what to expect, as Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) once again murders his way through the inhabitants of a small town on Halloween night, in as grisly a manner as possible.

Terrifier 2 Teaser Trailer Reveals Art the Clown's Next Killing Spree
Image
Horror fans anxiously awaiting the return of Terrifier antagonist Art the Clown can get a first look at him in the official teaser for the upcoming sequel. When the first Terrifier was released in 2016, it proved to be a pretty big hit with horror fans, introducing an original slasher film killer with some memorably violent kills. Because the ending left the door open for a sequel to happen, fans have been calling for it ever since, and writer/director Damien Leone has been teasing Terrifier 2 by posting status updates on its progress on occasion.

Without warning, Leone dropped something special for his fans today by uploading the official teaser for Terrifier 2. There's no question that the first movie was particularly violent, even depicting a scene of one unfortunate victim getting sawed completely in half. That now looks to be child's play compared to the sequel, if the first teaser is any indication.
