Filipino-American director, writer, producer, filmmaker, and photographer based in Los Angeles, CA, Leslie Alejandro found her passion for photography while she was the executive director and creative director at an entertainment/fashion digital magazine. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Variety, Men's Health, GQ, Women's Health, The Hollywood Reporter, etc.
After being inspired to tell stories through a visual medium, Alejandro turned to narrative filmmaking and joined UCLA Extension's Director's Program. Her documentary short 'She's Having My Baby' and short film 'Adult Night' (Kevin Alejandro/Lesley-Ann Brandt) got her accepted as an official auditor for the HBO Access Director's Program.
Alejandro directed the empowered women video 'Crack' by India de Beaufort and the brown pride anthem video 'Gold' by Ella Jay Basco, featuring Ruby Ibarra. Her music video 'Undead' by The Sweetkill earned her the Best Drama Video at the 2021 International Music Video Awards.
In October 2021, Alejandro's docuseries 'Where You From?: The Search for a Filipino-American Cultural Identity' was selected into the 2021 CNN + Film Independent Original Series Workshop.
In April 2024, Alejandro directed the short film 'Parachutes' featuring Sherry Cola and Monica Potter. After shadow directing on 3 episodic television shows, Alejandro directed Episode 14 of Season 3 of CBS' 'Fire Country', a Jerry Bruckheimer Production.
In July 2025, her film 'Parachutes' won Best Horror/Suspense Film at the San Diego Comic-con International Independent Film Festival 2025.
