No 3 Highest Earning YouTuber Predicted Honey Was a “Scam” Years Ago While MrBeast Was Busy Promoting It
Image
While the video posted by New Zealand content creator MegaLag might have exposed the Honey scam, previously promoted by MrBeast—he isn’t the only one who seemed busy investigating the popular browser extension owned by PayPal. Apparently, even the number 3 highest earning YouTuber, Mark Fischbach aka Markiplier, had previously exposed the scam.

MrBeast in his ‘I Gave My 40,000,000th Subscriber 40 Cars’ video | image: YouTube

In a resurfaced video from 2019, YouTuber Markiplier can be seen expressing his doubts about Honey. But sadly, back then people didn’t seem to care about his opinions, which in recent few days have become insightful, especially after the browser extension faced allegations of “stealing money from content creators”.

YouTuber Markiplier’s prediction about Honey goes viral

Now that Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, Marques “Mkbhd” Brownlee, and Linus Sebastian are currently facing controversies over their previous promotion of Honey, an old clip from 2019 of YouTuber Mark Fischbach went viral,...

YouTuber Markiplier Got Passes From Everyone in Hollywood — So, He Made a Hit His Way
Image
In 2019, The Edge of Sleep, the latest offering from Mark Fischbach, known to his 37 million YouTube subscribers as Markiplier, was pitched to every major platform in Hollywood.

By then, Edge of Sleep was already a popular podcast. In fact, it quickly became the biggest genre narrative podcast of all time, with some 6 million downloads and counting. And for the television adaptation, Markiplier would be reprising his role as a night watchman who attempts to survive a mysterious global crisis where anyone who goes to sleep dies. The podcast’s creators, Jake Emanuel and Willie Block, were on board to write and run the TV version, and Longlegs producer Brian Kavanaugh Jones was attached to produce. There would be six episodes, made on a relative shoestring budget, served up to a rapt audience that Markiplier has cultivated for more than a decade with a channel primarily focused on Let’s Play videos.

Markiplier starred in a Prime Video exclusive. Why isn’t Amazon promoting it?
Image
If your streaming service was the exclusive home to a TV series starring one of YouTube‘s longtime stars, wouldn’t you be promoting the heck out of it?

We think so, but Amazon apparently doesn’t agree. It picked up rights to The Edge of Sleep, a long-awaited, six-episode, live-action adaptation of Markiplier‘s scripted podcast starring the man himself, and so far has been pretty weird about advertising it.

Markiplier (aka Mark Fischbach) announced The Edge of Sleep would become a TV show way back in 2021. He would star and executive produce, with The Revenant producer New Regency serving as the project’s production studio and independent financier. In March 2023, Fischbach switched talent reps, signing with UTA, and the duo planned to take the then-fully-shot Edge of Sleep show out and shop it around to potential distribution outlets.

Well, they found one…but couldn’t say what it was.

Five Nights At Freddy's Scrapped Markiplier Cameo Means A Better FNAF2 Role Can Happen
Image
Warning: Spoilers for Five Nights at Freddy's!

Markiplier's cameo in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie was cut due to scheduling conflicts, but this opens up the possibility for him to take on a bigger role in the sequel. Turning down the cameo allowed Markiplier to focus on his acting skills and potentially break into filmmaking, which could lead to future projects and opportunities. With the success of the first film and Markiplier's availability after his current project, there is a good chance he could be cast as a key video game character in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

After scrapping his cameo in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, Markiplier has the potential to fill a much better role in the sequel. The film adaptation of the wildly popular video game series has finally arrived on the big screen. Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a night guard named Mike Schmidt,...

The Two YouTubers Five Nights At Freddy's Fans Hope Are In The Film
Image
The long-awaited cinematic adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's" is due out on October 27, 2023, and fan speculation is well underway. Is Matthew Lillard's Steve Raglan actually franchise baddie, William Afton? Is Elizabeth Lail's Vanessa going to be revealed as the villainous Vanny? And what's the deal with Mary Stuart Masterson's Aunt Jane? As heads swirl with questions and theories, fans can at least take solace in knowing ahead of time that "FNaF" will proudly feature cameos from some of the most popular gamers responsible for helping introduce Scott Cawthon's creepy survival game featuring possessed animatronics to the masses.

As has been confirmed by the trailer and from public acknowledgments, YouTubers 8-Bit Ryan, Baz, Razzbowski, FusionZGamer, and Dawko are all shown on Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria's "Employee of the Month" board. However, the biggest cameo appearance comes from CoryxKenshin, who plays the role of a cab driver.

Iron Lung: Why You Should Be Excited for Markiplier's Upcoming Movie
Image
Mark Fischbach, more commonly known as Markiplier, is arguably one of the most beloved YouTube personalities still working today. Originally joining the platform in 2012, he quickly rose to prominence through his walkthroughs of various horror games, garnering a following comprised of millions of people.

Now, more than a decade later, Markiplier is taking the director's chair in his own self-financed feature film. Keeping in touch with his roots, it'll be an adaptation of yet another indie horror game. However, it's a certain indie game with plenty of feature-film potential.

Iron Lung, initially developed by David Szymanski of Dusk and Squirrel Stapler fame, will be the subject of Markiplier's feature film. Originally a low-budget horror title that focused on using the player's imaginations against them, the game's surrounding lore offers a fascinating world to explore in a multimedia franchise.

After all, wouldn't you want to see a movie about exploring an...

Hello, Hollywood: Markiplier to direct, star in feature-length video game adaptation
Image
Markiplier is ready for his close-up. The gamer (real name Mark Fischbach) is set to direct and star in a Hollywood adaptation of the horror video game Iron Lung.

To get Iron Lung onto the big screen, Fischbach will wear many hats. According to Deadline, the Ohio native — who reaches more than 34 million subscribers on his namesake YouTube channel — will finance the feature out of his own pocket. He will adapt a script he wrote himself and will serve as one of the film’s three producers, alongside Will Hyde and Jeff Guerrero. As if that wasn’t enough work already, Fischbach will direct the Iron Lung project and star in it alongside Caroline Rose Kaplan.

Iron Lung is a scare-filled game developed by David Syzmanski, who was also behind the 2018 title Dusk. Fischbach played Iron Lung on his channel a year ago, and he is now working alongside Szymanski...

David Szymanski created the Iron Lung video game, which was named by Bloody Disgusting as one of the Best Indie Horror Video Games You Might’ve Missed in 2022.

Luiz H.C. raved in that article, “Inherently claustrophobic and with only a few inches of metal separating you from a watery grave, submarines are undoubtedly horrifying. Of course, leave it to Dave Szymanski to make the diving experience that much more terrifying by forcing players to rely on obsolete technology to navigate the briny depths.”

He added, “The charming retro graphics and Doom 64 inspired soundtrack are also a huge bonus,...

The Markiplier OnlyFans is here

YouTube’s so-called “himbo-in-chief” has launched the subscription his admirers have been waiting for. Mark Fischbach, the gamer known to 34 million subscribers as Markiplier, caused a sitewide crash when he delivered a gallery of “tasteful nudes” to a brand-new OnlyFans account.

After the film’s release, all of the conditions were satisfied, and so the OnlyFans That Was Promised arrived. It didn’t take long before Fischbach’s fans delivered a rush of traffic so great that it flooded the platform’s servers.

YouTuber Markiplier Buys Donald Glover’s La Canada Midcentury Modern
Image
When Donald Glover’s stunning starter home in the sleepy Los Angeles suburb of La Cañada Flintridge first hit the market in February, the listing attracted substantial publicity from Dirt and other outlets. One of the deep-pocketed folks who caught wind of the sale was Mark Fischbach, the 31-year-old gaming YouTuber better known as Markiplier. Fischbach quickly won the keys to the place, paying exactly $4 million — $15,000 over the asking price — for the estate.

Of course, it’s no surprise that Fischbach can afford to afford to pay millions for a home; he’s one of the most successful YouTubers of all time, with upwards of 15 billion lifetime video views, 29 million subscribers, and a widely reported $35 million net worth. It’s a big come up for the Hawaii-born University of Cincinnati dropout, the son of an American Army veteran and a Korean mother, who grew up poor in the Cincinnati suburbs.

Podcast Studio Qcode Raises $6.4 Million In Series A Funding With Sonos, C Ventures
Image
Podcast content studio Qcode, known for adapting series with A-list talent for film and TV, raised $6.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Sonos with participation by C Ventures.

Qcode, in LA, is a leading destination for fiction and immersive storytelling in the podcast space.
