Central Partnership has revealed an official trailer for a big post-apocalyptic western thriller called The Last Ronin, a Russian project by filmmaker Maksim Shishkin making his feature directorial debut. The film is premiering soon and will be released in Russia at the end of December. The craziest thing about this is that it's a blatant rip-off of both The Last of Us and Mad Max, combined into one gnarly VFX-heavy action movie that looks pretty terrible. Haunted by the ghosts of the past, lone traveler Ronin wanders the postapocalyptic wastelands in search of his father's killer. Everywhere he goes, he encounters blood-thirsty head hunters and rogue gangs.
