The Voice UK winner Jermain Jackman has announced his signing to London Records, part of Universal Music.
Jackman is currently in the studio working on his debut album with some "very special guests", and plans to release the record later this year.
The 19-year-old from Hackney won the recent series of the TV show after beating finalists Sally Barker, Jamie Johnson and Christina Marie.
Jackman said: "I'm really excited to be a part of Universal Music and London Records and I'm ready to make some great music."
The singer's cover and winning performance of 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' previously reached number 39 in the iTunes chart.

The Voice coach Ricky Wilson has proved that he took his role seriously by hitting the studio with one of his acts.
Wilson tweeted a photograph of 16-year-old Beth McCarthy in a recording studio yesterday (May 29), adding the caption: "In the studio with this one this afternoon."
McCarthy retweeted the picture and replied: "Team Ricky for life not just for Christmas. X"
The singer, who joined Wilson's team after a performance of 'Sexy And I Know It' in her blind audition, failed to get through to the live shows and was eliminated at the Knockout stage of the competition.
The pair also spent time with another of Wilson's team members, Nathan Amzi, who was eliminated from the competition after being up against eventual finalist Christina Marie in the Battle Rounds.
Tweeting two pictures of the duo yesterday, McCarthy wrote: "Myself, @Rickontour and @theamzi are far cooler than you. #green"

'The Voice' winner Jermain Jackman wants to name his debut album 'Genesis'. The 19-year-old London singer was crowned the winner of the show earlier this month, after beating finalists Sally Barker, Christina Marie and Jamie Johnson, and has revealed plans for his first record, which is inspired by the Bible. He told Bang Showbiz: ''We're just collecting songs and working with producers, we're striking while the iron is hot. ''I've very religious and I want to call my first album maybe 'Genesis' or something. It's the beginning of the Bible, a beautiful, wonderful and influential story. You've got to feel a bit sorry for Jermain Jackman. When he was announced as the winner of The Voice 2014 - to much confetti and fanfare - the overwhelming reaction was one of, well, surprise. He wasn't the Digital Spy favourite (Christina Marie). He wasn't the bookies' favourite (Sally Barker). But he was the winner.
Now that the dust has settled a little, though, could Jermain actually be just the winner that The Voice needs? We've heard plenty of slightly mean-spirited snark about how The Voice is yet to produce a star - Leanne Mitchell and Andrea Begley, the first two champions, have so far failed to set the charts alight.
The Voice's future is secure, at least for now - two more series have been ordered by the BBC - but its credibility could begin to be questioned if it doesn't start spinning out successes soon. This is...

Jermain Jackman has won The Voice 2014.
The Team will.i.am singer beat Christina Marie and Sally Barker in the show's live final, and has secured himself a recording contract.
Earlier in the evening, Team Kylie Minogue singer Jamie Johnson was eliminated in fourth place, having received the lowest amount of public votes when the phone lines were frozen.
Digital Spy readers had tipped Christina Marie to win this year's series, while Sally Barker had been a long-time favourite with bookmakers.
However, it was the Hackney-based singer that impressed with his performances of 'Wrecking Ball', 'Pure Imagination' and the classic 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' to become the show's first-ever male winner.
Following Jackman's victory, mentor will.i.am said: "I hope you know that this victory is more than just you singing. This is direction and guidance for the rest of your life."

This year's Voice UK finalists have said they are determined not to turn out like previous winners.
The first series of the show was won by Leanne Mitchell who has since failed to have a hit song. Andrea Begley went on to win the second series, but has also failed to storm the charts.
Jamie Johnson, who is the final remaining member of Team Kylie, told The Sun that the former winners hadn't worked hard enough to become successful.
"None of us are Andrea," he said. "You don't stop trying after The Voice and just become a star. It doesn't work like that.
"You have to keep grabbing for things. The record label is not going to just say you are playing at the O2 and 20,000 tickets have been sold."
Christina Marie Wickens added: "You have to keep going and do all the promo stuff. You can't expect somebody to do it for you.

The Voice coach Ricky Wilson has revealed that he was prescribed seasickness medication to deal with his nerves before the live shows.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman - who previously admitted to Digital Spy that he would be more anxious than his team - explained that he was feeling light-headed about the prospect of going live.
"I went to the doctors because I was dizzy and the doctor said, 'You are a bit anxious'," Wilson told The Sun. "Every time I stood up I thought I was going to fall over."
However, Wilson explained that he decided not to take the pills, explaining: "I was given tablets which I pretended to take - I thought they might do something weird. It took every ounce of strength to get on with it but my fears went as soon as the camera was rolling."

We were convinced we'd found a way to predict the results of this weekend's Voice battles - by putting some of the duos head to head to test their knowledge of their mentors - but Team Tom and Team Will ended in a dead heat, and Team Kylie were separated by just a measly half point. We called up Nathan Amzi and Christina Marie, so read on to find out who knows more about Ricky - and then what they had to say about tonight's head to head...
