Hailing from the southern-fried metropolis of Charlotte, North Carolina, Brad Hooks is the on-set music composer for the groundbreaking television series, The Fosters (2013) on ABC Family (soon to be Freeform). A classically trained pianist, who once toured Australia, South America and Europe playing keys for three time world champion surfer turned singer/songwriter Tom Curren, Hooks also writes, performs and produces his own music. His first solo EP is scheduled for release in February 2016, featuring the lead single "Ish" with singer and actress Ashley Argota Torres.

Taking his musical talents to the stage, in 2015, Hooks jumped at the chance to work with Bradley Bredeweg, creator of The Fosters, as the Music Director of the musical Romeo & Juliet: Love Is A Battlefield, which featured the music of Pat Benatar and Tina Turner and played to sold out crowds in it's six month Los Angeles debut. Fresh off that success, he wasted no time re-teaming with Bredeweg to co-write a modern retelling of Sleepy Hollow for the Broadway stage in 2016.

Behind the scenes, Hooks is garnering attention as a hot up-and-coming pop music producer to many of young Hollywood's freshest talents, including Ashley Argota Torres (Victorious, The Fosters), rock band The Late Revival (David Lambert (The Fosters), Jameson Moss (Easy A), Michael Eric Reid (Victorious)), and 13-year-old alt/rock prodigy, Sage Charmaine.

One of Hooks' primary musical passions is his band The Young Romans (Red Parade Music Group). The critically acclaimed band released their 4th record in 2015 followed by tours of both coasts and are ready to release their fifth record, Bells & Sirens: Part 2 in 2016. The Young Romans' single "Where You Go" is the end title track for the Golden Globe nominated film "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011)" with Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor and was featured as the coveted iTunes Download of the Week. Additionally, their music has been heard on TV shows like Fox's American Idol (2002), Lifetime's _Drop Dead Diva_ and MTV's 16 and Pregnant (2009).

This year, Hooks lent his vocals to the Amy Schumer sketch, "Girl You Don't Need Make-up", which resulted in an Emmy win for writers Jim Roach and Kyle Dunnigan.

Hooks resides in Los Angeles, California.
