Ernesto del Cañal was born in Havana ,Cuba. In year 2000 he started to work in Cuban TV, starring the series 'The Little Fugitives'. He graduated in 2012 from the Superior Institute of Arts of Havana (ISA) with a first-class degree in Acting.
On theatre he has worked with the British producer and director Stephen Bayly ('Spoon River', 'Blue/Orange', 'Bent') and the German play writer and director Roland Schimmelpfennig ('The Street of the Ants', 'Tonight everything will be different').
He has acted in films like 'La Partida' directed by Antonio Gens, 'Pappa' directed by Bob Yari, 'Yunaisy' and 'Four Doors' directed by Juan Pablo Daranas, 'Vientos de La Habana' and 'Four Seasons in Havana' directed by Felix Viscarret and 'Blue Fish' directed by Aram Vidal.
Ernesto del Cañal lives in México City since 2016.
