Netflix just announced a September 18, 2025 premiere date for the limited series Black Rabbit, set in New York City and starring Jude Law (The Order) and Jason Bateman (Ozark). The premiere date announcement was accompanied by the first batch of photos from the eight-episode series.

Bateman directs the first two episodes and serves as an executive producer along with Jude Law. The cast includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Chris Coy, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young, and Robin De Jesus. The anticipated Netflix limited series starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law as reunited brothers that centers on the city’s next hotspot restaurant and lounge (called Black Rabbit) now has a release date. The eight-episode series, also titled Black Rabbit, launches Sept. 18 on Netflix.

Netflix released the first photos (one above, three below) along with the date announcement, previewing Bateman’s new, gritty look for the thriller drama. Bateman and Law executive produce the series, with Bateman also directing.

Hulu has released the official trailer for its latest limited series, “Washington Black,” starring Ernest Kingsley Jr. and Sterling K. Brown The eight-episode series is set to release on July 23 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

Following the news that Starz was canceling Shining Vale after two seasons, the reactions have been coming in.

Co-creator Jeff Astrof has weighed in on the fact that the series would be eliminated from the streaming service and urged his followers to watch before it disappeared.

The series, starring Courteney Cox as a woman who begins seeing and communicating with ghosts, finished its second (and now final season) on Dec. 1. In addition to canceling the show, Starz will also remove Shining Vale from its streaming library at the end of the month.

Jeff Astrof, who co-created Shining Vale with Sharon Horgan, shared news of the show’s end on social media Wednesday. “This show gave me unrelenting joy to work on. Not a single bad day. Please watch the Starz (turns out, Limited) series Shining Vale before 12/31,” he wrote.
