For the third and final season of All American: Homecoming, Damon Sims (Peyton Alex Smith) was no longer a series regular on the CW drama for an unfortunate reason.
One of the leads in Seasons 1 and 2, Damon was Bringston's talented and popular baseball player and a member of a love triangle, competing with Martin Bobb-Semple's Lando for a relationship with Simone Hicks, played by Geffri Maya.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Season 3, Episode 12 of All American: Homecoming.
Monday’s penultimate episode of All American: Homecoming seemed, in many ways, to be about healing.
After standing up to a major recording artist about his work, Cam (Mitchell Edwards) is looking for new opportunities, and Keisha (Netta Walker) wants to help. But, since their breakup, Cam hasn’t been willing to even stay in the same room as Keisha, let alone allow her to give him any sort of aid. So, she enlists Lando’s help to set up an intimate venue at Bringston for Cam to perform some of his music.
“I think we both knew that they had really deep love for each other,” Walker told Deadline. “But this particular episode, I was really proud of her for, even in this adversity between the two of them, being there for someone that she loves...

The CW is cutting ties with another of its pre-Nexstar original series.
The network announced Wednesday that the forthcoming third season of All American: Homecoming will be its last. The college-set spinoff of All American is set to premiere July 8.
The news comes a few days after The CW renewed All American for a seventh season — albeit for a shorter run (13 episodes) than most of its past seasons.
With the end of Homecoming, All American and the forthcoming fourth (and final) season of Superman & Lois are the only scripted holdovers from The CW’s previous Warner Bros.-CBS regime. (The network canceled WalkerA in May.) Since Nexstar took a controlling interest in the network in late 2022, it has jettisoned most of the scripted series from the earlier days and leaned into a less expensive co-production model for scripted shows as it looks to make The CW profitable for the first time.

Simone Hicks plans to “dominate this season” when All American: Homecoming returns — but fresh footage from the upcoming episodes has us thinking the season might dominate her.
In the exclusive Season 3 trailer embedded above, Simone’s renewed determination on the tennis court quickly gives way to a potential injury (“Something’s off with my swing,” she worries aloud) and a seemingly formidable opponent from another university. Plus, Simone’s personal life seems similarly complicated: Although we briefly see her in bed with (presumably) one of her two suitors from last season’s cliffhanger, the conversation she’s having via voiceover — “I did what you asked.
