Directed by William Instone, with Matt Rifley serving as co-director, this Texas-set nightmare revives the golden era of practical gore and relentless killers, introducing a new horror icon in the form of the Hogman—a monstrous figure whose legend has haunted a small town for decades.

The film follows a group of eager college students who set out to document the town’s urban legend for their final project. What starts as an exploration of folklore soon spirals into a grisly ordeal as the filmmakers realise the stories are more than just ghost tales. With 28 people missing over the past two decades, the town’s secrets run deeper than they ever could have imagined. As the students become prey, Butchers Bluff delivers an unflinching spectacle of carnage.
