The BBC and Netflix are getting ready to launch their series about the Lockerbie bombing from Line of Duty producer World Productions.
The BBC has dropped trailer for the show launching May 18 and later globally on Netflix, which stars Connor Swindells and Patrick J. Adams and follows what happened after the worst terror attack to take place on British soil 37 years ago.
The series tells the story of the Scots-u.S. investigation into the attack and the devastating effect it had on the small town and the families who lost loved ones. From the initial exhaustive search for evidence on the ground in Scotland, via the U.S. and Malta to the trial at Camp Zeist in 2000, the series leads up to the forthcoming new trial in the U.S.
The Bombing Of Pan Am 103 follows Sky and Peacock’s Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, which was criticized by some of the victims.

Deadpool & Wolverine star Hugh Jackman looks fondly on his time portraying Logan since first donning the character's famed claws nearly 25 years ago. However, beyond Wolverine's appearance and badass nature, Jackman believes Logan resonates with fans because of his humanity.
Appearing on The Official Marvel Podcast, Jackman reflected on his legacy playing Wolverine and how he's re-embraced the character since returning for Deadpool & Wolverine. Though Jackman has become synonymous with portraying Wolverine, making the no-nonsense mutant resonate with fans throughout his run, it took him a while to realize how much fans cared about Logan. Regarding his approach to playing Wolverine, the Australian actor said, "I don't think I understood what it meant to the wider world. I wasn't a big comic book fan, in particular, growing up. I had never heard of X-Men. In some ways, I'm really glad I didn't know. Because I really approached Logan...

Deadpool & Wolverine sees Hugh Jackman wear the comic-accurate yellow suit and wield his claws as Logan for the first time since 2017. According to the Oscar-nominated actor, the wait is worth it, claiming working on the Marvel Cinematic Universe "exceeded anything" he's done in his time portraying Wolverine.
Speaking at a Marvel fan event in Shanghai, Jackman offered high praise for Deadpool & Wolverine, which marks his MCU debut after portraying Wolverine throughout 20th Century Fox's X-Men film franchise. Jackman insists his experience with Deadpool & Wolverine validated his comeback as he had fun working alongside Deadpool actor and close friend Ryan Reynolds while admiring the story they told with the film. "The experience of making the movie was also one of the greatest of my career, and I've been playing Wolverine for 25 years," Jackman said. Written by Jonathan Lee and from Elementary creator Rob Doherty, the show will focus on Dr. Abraham Van Helsing and ex-fbi agent Mina Harker. Could the show reinvigorate the character after the panned 2004 effort led by Hugh Jackman?
An underrated Hugh Jackman action horror movie is all set to be turned into a series, with CBS now developing a Van Helsing show. The series will reportedly turn Abraham Van Helsing, who was first introduced in Bram Stokers Dracula novel way, way back in the before times of 1897, into a modern-day crime fighter. As per a report by Deadline, the Van Helsing series is being written by Jonathan Lee, the author best known for the Netflix and BBC drama series Lockerbie, with CBS reportedly winning the rights to the project after a hotly contested auction.

Famous monster hunter Van Helsing is making his way to primetime with a new crime procedural series in development at CBS that will see Dr. Abraham Van Helsing working alongside his ex, FBI agent Mina Harker, to solve some of New York City's "most harrowing cases," per Deadline.
The character of Van Helsing was first introduced into the horror lexicon through Bram Stoker's classic 1897 gothic horror novel Dracula. In the original story, Van Helsing is a jack-of-all-trades type character, as he's not just a doctor but a polymath who doubles as a scientist, professor, philosopher, and more.
Deadline reports that Jonathan Lee (Lockerbie) is writing, with Elementary creator Rob Doherty set to executive produce. The series won't be produced in-house by Paramount but instead by Lionsgate Television. Prolific producers Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly are executive producing as part of their overall deal with Lionsgate.

CBS has come out the winner in a bidding war to become the home to a new TV series based on Dracula’s legendary foe Dr. Abraham Van Helsing… and no, this project does not (despite the image above) have anything to do with the 2004 Hugh Jackman movie. Or the Van Helsing show that ran on Syfy for five seasons, wrapping up in 2021. Or any previous version of Van Helsing, a character who has been played by the likes of Edward Van Sloan, Peter Cushing, Anthony Hopkins, Mel Brooks, Rutger Hauer, and many others over the decades. This is a fresh take on the character that’s coming our way from Elementary creator Rob Doherty, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Lionsgate Television.

According to Deadline, CBS has a Van Helsing series in development.
And yes, the title appears to be Van Helsing, but it’s no relation to Syfy’s Van Helsing, which must make TV history awfully confusing to the average watcher.
This Van Helsing will be a lot closer in scope to CBS’s past hit, Elementary, which followed a modern-day Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Watson solving crimes.
Apparently, this series landed at CBS after quite a bidding war for it, even if the procedural king of broadcast network TV seems like a natural fit.

It may have landed elsewhere, and we would have spent an eternity believing that it should have really aired on CBS. Whew! We dodged a bullet there.

The first seasons of "Star Trek" shows are notoriously rocky, with some fans warning their friends to just "start with season 2" in the more extreme cases (looking at you, "Star Trek: The Next Generation"). "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds," on the other hand, had a totally knockout premiere run. Even my favorite "Star Trek" series, "Deep Space Nine," struggled with a hit-or-miss first season that floundered on occasion, but every single episode of "Strange New Worlds" is a bonafide banger (you can read our review here!). Sure, they only have 10 episodes as compared to the serialized network shows, which had 26, but batting 100 is still no small feat.
"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" follows Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the original U.S.S. Enterprise, in the time before Captain Kirk took command. There are updated, younger versions of many of our favorite characters from the original series,...
