Claudia Doumit Interview: Dylan & Zoey
Image
Even the best of friendships can struggle against the test of time and major life events, as seen in Dylan & Zoey. The indie dramedy centers on the titular estranged best friends who reunite while the latter is visiting L.A. for a bachelorette party, though find it isn't as easy to pick up where they left off.

Claudia Doumit and Blake Scott Lewis, who also co-wrote the film, lead the cast of Dylan & Zoey alongside Malcolm Barrett, Kyle Jones, Kamahl Naiqui, and Kim Hamilton. Doumit, well-known for her work in Timeless, The Boys, and the rebooted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise, makes her producing debut in the charming and heartbreaking film.

‘Dylan & Zoey’ Review: Friendship Runs Deeper Than Trauma in Talky Dramedy
Image
“Dylan & Zoey” begins with two quintessential Los Angeles experiences: two friends realizing they’ve lost touch and a party that someone desperately wants to skip. Hoping to avoid such a dreadful fate, Zoey reaches out to Dylan when she travels to L.A. for a bachelorette party that she has zero interest in attending. With one night left on her trip, the two friends meet at Dylan’s house in an attempt to reconnect. But something has clearly changed between them. They can still make each other laugh, but all the lost time has created a...

"If we enjoy each other so much, then why did we stop talking??" Gravitas Ventures has unveiled an official trailer for an indie drama about friendship titled Dylan & Zoey, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Matt Sauter. This will be out in November on VOD if anyone wants to watch. Two friends, whose relationship has grown fraught for reasons unknown, reunite over the course of one evening to bridge the gap that has divided them for so long. While picking up where they left off proves easy at first, they quickly realize that in order to truly heal, they must confront the traumas that fractured them. Blake Scott Lewis & Claudia Doumit co-star as the titular Dylan & Zoey. The indie cast includes Kim Hamilton, Malcolm Barrett, Bella Popa, Kyle Jones, and Kamahl Naiqui. I really hope by the end these two realize they should be a couple, because they really...
