It looks like class is dismissed for Degrassi: Next Class. Producer Stefan Brogren just revealed Netflix has cancelled the TV show.

Once again, Degrassi: Next Class is going there. The longrunning Canadian teen drama returns for its second season on its new home, Netflix, on Friday, July 22, and they are bringing one of the world's most current hot-button issues into the high school hallway: the Black Lives Matter movement.  In E! News' exclusive sneak peek from the first episode of the 10-episode season, viewers will get to see the scene that sets the racism storyline, that will play out over the course of the 10-episode season, in motion. Just days after TeenNick canceled "Degrassi: The Next Generation" after 14 seasons, Netflix announced it was saving the beloved teen drama. The streaming service and Canada's Family Channel will air 20 episodes of "Degrassi: Next Class" in 2016.
