Kerry Hurst

Kerry was born on 18th June 1964 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her family
moved south to Essex when she was two years old. Her passion for
performing is hereditary, her paternal Grandmother, Elizabeth Robb, was
a stage actress in Edinburgh during the 1930's and her father, John
McDougall (aka Johnny Mack) was a comedian/magician and Variety Agent
in the 1950's. Kerry's first taste for 'treading the boards' came
during her secondary school years when she entered a school drama
competition resulting in a Best Actress Award. Upon leaving school it
was her ambition to join RADA but unfortunately circumstances dictated
otherwise. She continued to enjoy her acting on an amateur level and in
1986 Kerry won the Best Actress Award at the Havering Drama Festival
for her role of Irene in 'The Volunteer'.
Kerry's work experience ranged from Secretarial, IT Management to Primary School Teaching Assistant where she ran the School Drama Club for five years writing and directing the children in various productions.
Kerry is also a member of her local drama group, Tin Hut Amateur Dramatic Society, enjoying the delights of Murder Mysteries, Farces and Pantos. In November 2014 she will be playing Vesta Tilley, the famous male impressionist, in an Old Time Music Hall production set around the start of WW1.
In September 2012, Kerry decided to follow her dream and so embarked on a professional acting career. Whilst auditioning for a role in C.O.O.L.I.O. 2 - Rise of the Time Travelling Gangster Kerry was introduced to Paul J Lane who, as well as being Actor, Director and Co-writer for the film, is also an Acting Coach at his Film Acting Coaching and Training School (F.A.C.T.). It was here that Kerry began her professional acting career.
Since then Kerry has appeared in a new gangster film, Looters, Tooters & Sawn Off Shooters, as Pete's wife, Ripley Jones in Paul J Lane's film C.O.O.L.I.O., Time Travelling Gangster, Mrs Hatchett in Time Travel Gangster Chronicles Web Series (Christmas episode), Psychologist Dr. Edwards in the short film Verisimilitude and more recently in How to Disappear Completely.
Kerry will be reprising her role of Ripley Jones in the new spin-off feature, Time Travel Gangster Chronicles due out in December 2014.
