Hollywood seems to have run out of fresh ideas, and we’re living in an era when every classic show is rebooted or revived.

I loved the 1980s and 1990s television shows, but did not want to see everyone rebooted. Some were classics for a reason, and others ran long enough in their prime.

On Monday, Variety announced that a 7th Heaven reboot is in early development. Why? While I loved the first several seasons, it’s a prime example of a series that ran too long and does not need to return.

7th Heaven ran for 11 seasons on The WB and The CW and followed the Camden family.

It was a family favorite back then as it explored how Rev. Eric Camden and his wife dealt with their many children.

While it leaned Christian, it wasn’t overly preachy, and featured some of the best sibling relationships on television.

Director Cosmos Kiindarius made his feature directorial debut with the 2016 thriller Stand, which was about American brothers who head out into the Vietnam jungle and get trapped in a mine field that was left over from the war. Now he’s about to head into production on his second film, a psychological horror tale called Dirt, and he has gotten some genre icons to join the cast. Dirt will feature Malcolm McDowell of A Clockwork Orange (and the Rob Zombie Halloween movies), A Nightmare on Elm Street heroine Heather Langenkamp, and Courtney Gains from the Stephen King adaptation Children of the Corn. Also in the cast are James Paxton, who recently appeared in Twisters and happens to be the son of Bill Paxton, Emily Tosta (Mayans Mc), and Owen Vaccaro (The House with a Clock in Its Walls). Filming is set to begin in New Mexico this November.

“Twisters” star James Paxton and “Mayans Mc’s” Emily Tosta are set to head the cast of psychological horror “Dirt.” Production on the film, directed by Cosmos Kiindarius, begins November in New Mexico.

The film features an all-star supporting cast including Owen Vaccaro (“The House With a Clock in Its Walls”), Courtney Gaines (“Back to the Future”), Heather Langenkamp (“A Nightmare on Elm Street”) and Malcolm McDowell.

According to a statement, “this chilling blend of romance, psychological horror, and addiction delves deep into the complexities of love and the dark corners of the human mind.”

Tonight on “Hell’s Kitchen,” the infamous blind food taste test returns with a new out-of-this-world challenge. During dinner service, problems with scallops and soufflés reveal the differences between leaders and losers. The pressure is on in the kitchen for dinner service as the chefs serve stars such as former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, actresses Rosanna Arquette and Emily Tosta, as well as actor Greg Germann in a charity night supporting The People Concern and Teen Cancer America. On the surface, it's hard not to compare Willy's Wonderland to Five Nights at Freddy's. After all, both revolve around a premise of supernatural, evil animatronics that prey on their unsuspecting victims within an abandoned family entertainment center. G.O. Parsons, the writer behind the Nicolas Cage-led horror comedy Willy’s Wonderland, is up to his old tricks. Parsons wants to give automated animals another go with the Beast of Bower Boulevard, a three-part digital comic debuting this week. Initially funded on Kickstarter, Beast of Bower Boulevard unfolds in a secluded ski town, where a sheriff’s deputy and his family investigate after things go quiet. Once they reach their destination, they discover the urban area is under attack by a robot dinosaur built by the military!

Beast of Bower Boulevard gives off ’70s and ’80s vibes with a splash of absurdity. Initially written as a screenplay, Parsons converted the script after working with publisher American Mythology on the Willy’s Wonderland comics. While Parsons is thrilled about the Beast of Bower Boulevard stomping onto the comic book page, he’s not ruling out a live-action adaptation if a studio shows interest.

As the sets were being broken down to make way for a new production in the future, series co-creator Elgin James celebrated Crew Appreciation Day alongside stars J.D. Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Carla Baratta, Emilio Rivera, Sarah Bolger, J.R. Bourne, Edward James Olmos, Gino Vento, Emily Tosta, Andrew Jacobs and Alex Barone. Maverick James who played Maverick Reyes, son of Adelita (Baratta) and Angel (Cardenas), was also part of the celebration as was Baratta’s son Diego who was inside her belly during the show’s second season and was worked into the storyline.

For the festivities, the grounds were colorfully decorated and food trucks were serving the hungry and excited masses. Pardo and Rivera hosted a raffle giving away kuttes from both Sons of Anarchy and Mayans M.

Still haven’t recovered from FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode seven? Neither have I. But buckle up because episode eight – “Her Blacks Crackle and Drag” – doesn’t let up. FX’s Mayans M.C. season five episode seven says goodbye to two major, longtime players as we head into the final stretch of episodes. The body count explodes in episode seven, with Emily finally getting her hands bloody instead of calling on Ez to do her dirty work, and a Santo Padre associate is taken out after being labeled the club’s rat. Jd Pardo is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming Season 5 of FX’s gritty biker drama “Mayans M.C.,” Variety can exclusively reveal.

Pardo has starred in “Mayans M.C.” since its premiere in 2018. For the fifth and final season of the series, Pardo will make his directorial debut during the show’s fourth episode, which will air on Wednesday, June 7.

Episode 4, entitled “I See the Black Light,” teases that “after a fatal error, the Mayans navigate the dangers of their new trade, forcing an unlikely alliance.” Meredith Danluck wrote the episode. Elgin James and Kurt Sutter are executive producers and creators.

“Directing has been a place, I feel, I was always destined to go,” Pardo said. “Elgin and I would speak about it often. I absolutely loved getting behind camera and understanding the relationship between the performance as an actor in the scene and the visual image needed...

FX on Wednesday unveiled the trailer for Mayans M.C. Season 5, which promises our deadliest season to date.

At the end of Mayans M.C. Season 4, Ez was president of the Santo Padre charter, a move that elicited a lot of blowbacks.

If you watch Mayans M.C. online, you know the development put him on the outs with his brother, Angel.

In the freshly released footage, Angel and his dad are forced to ponder whether Ez is too far gone.

If the trailer proves anything, Ez is making moves, but they may not be the right ones to secure his safety.

Angel is particularly concerned because the simmering tension between the Mayans and the Sons of Anarchy leads to several threats to the lives of his loved ones.

It's a lot to process, and we're barely scratching the surface of the trailer here.

HBO has released the official trailer for its five-episode limited series “White House Plumbers,” set to debut on May 1. The series will take viewers on a “behind-the-scenes” look of the Watergate scandal, starring Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux). “Holiday Twist,” an upcoming feature from Etm Pictures, announced on Thursday that a group of cast members added to the film, with production up and running in Los Angeles.

Debra Moore Muñoz, co-executive producer and writer on FX’s Mayans M.C., is expanding her relationship with the show’s producer, FX Productions. Moore Muñoz has signed an overall deal with the studio to develop new content for FX through her company Apogee Films, Inc.

“Debra has emerged as one of the brightest writers and producers in the industry and FX was fortunate to have her on the writing staff of Mayans M.C. since its inception,” said Grad. “We look forward to collaborating with her for new projects that draw on her enormous talents.”

Following graduation from Columbia University, Moore Muñoz worked in film development in Los Angeles, amassing credits on films such as Exodus: Gods and Kings, The Heat, and St. Vincent. Exclusive: FX’s Mayans M.C. is patching in Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, and Vincent Vargas as series regulars for season 4 of the biker drama slated to return in early 2022.

The trio took on larger roles in season 3 which saw their characters Hank Loza, Neron “Creeper” Vargas, and Gilly Lopez, respectively, flourish and develop into fully rounded characters with storylines fans embraced fully. Loyal, Lucero, and Vargas have been a part of the series throughout its three-season run.

Mayans M.C., a spin-off series of the network’s hit Sons of Anarchy, follows a motley crew of Latino men who found a family in the motorcycle club charter Santo Padre on the California and Mexico border. In my humble opinion Willy’s Wonderland is easily the best movie of Nic Cage’s career! I thought it was impossible for Nicolas Cage to get back to the winning ways of the mid 90s… Remember that 5 year run when he dropped The Rock, Con Air, Face Off, Kiss of Death, Snake Eyes and a couple more? Screen Media Films has dropped the official trailer for 'Willys Wonderland', an upcoming action-horror film featuring Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage in the lead.

The horror-flick sees the Academy Award-winning actor as 'the Janitor,' who ventures into an abandoned theme park when his car breaks down. He soon finds himself lured into a deadly trap even though a group of teenagers warns him about what's going to happen to him if he stays.

The blood-thirsty plotline revolves around Cage who finds himself struggling for survival after he agrees to clean the place in exchange for vehicle repairs only to find himself fighting against possessed animatronic mascots that lurk in the haunted Wonderland.

Screen Media Films have dropped a new full-length trailer for Nicolas Cage horror ‘Willy’s Wonderland’ and Cage pretty much utilises those awesome mentalist skills.

When his car breaks down, a quiet loner (Nic Cage) agrees to clean an abandoned family fun centre in exchange for repairs. He soon finds himself waging war against possessed animatronic mascots while trapped inside Willy’s Wonderland.

Screen Media Films has debuted the nightmarish horror ‘Willy’s Wonderland’ featuring Nicolas Cage and possessed amusement park characters.

Cage plays a quiet drifter tricked into a janitorial job at a condemned amusement park. He’s soon forced to spend the night there and is pulled into a living nightmare as the threatening animatronic characters come to life. He must fight his way from one monster to another to survive until morning and get out of the park.

Directed by Kevin Lewis, the film also stars Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz and Chris Warner.

Get ready to enter the twisted world of Willy's Wonderland. Originally titled Wally's Wonderland when the project was first announced, a new poster for the upcoming Nicolas Cage horror flick has been revealed. The movie will see Cage battling animatronic characters at a family entertainment center, not unlike Chuck E. Cheese.

The poster was revealed as the movie hit the Cannes virtual market. It sees Nicolas Cage at the center in a darkly-lit building. Cage is staring sternly at something that we can't see, holding what appears to be a stick and a bundle of cable. The poster comes with the tagline, "Let playtime begin." Unfortunately, not much else can be gleaned from the image but this could be one of the wildest cinematic Cage adventures we have seen in some time. And that is really saying something, especially considering that the actor recently starred in movies like Mandy and Color Out of Space.
