Stephen Carter Carlsen
- Actor
Uniting people in a world of disarray is no easy task. West coast born and raised Stephen Carter Carlsen is a whirling dervish on a mission to inspire and connect our global community through the craft of acting. This artist's humble journey began upon finding community in local theater in Chico, CA. It was here that he performed as the lead in a stage adaptation of A Clockwork Orange. From that moment forward, he recognized the transformative power of theater unearthing his true calling.
Driven by an unyielding passion for acting, he packed his bags and moved to New York City. After performing in several small productions, he recognized the necessity to develop solid technique. It was then that he discovered the William Esper Studio, where he was professionally trained under the distinguished wings of Bruce McCarty, David Newer, Bill Esper, and other esteemed faculty through the Meisner technique.
His credits include feature films, off Broadway, and countless theater productions.
Stephen graciously acknowledges that an actor's work is never finished. Acting serves as a mirror for humanity; it highlights the multi-faceted beauty of the human experience. He will forever immerse himself in the work to ensure a deeper understanding of who we are, and what our place is in the world.
